Re: everton v liverpoo
I'll take that. We were second best, probably only hit 80% of what we are capable of.

I think that sums it up rather well mate. He's like a roller coaster ride, incredible highs and some terrifying lows.Made 4 Gwladys wrote:Pickford... a couple of great saves... but WTF a few times... I just do not know what to make of him anymore...

Re: everton v liverpoo
LMAO. Genuinely laughing at how lucky we were today.
It isn't a win, but maybe the derby winds are starting to change direction.

Agree with that. We were lucky to get a point in the end. BUT, it does show we have come quite a way since last season.Armchair wrote:I'll take that. We were second best, probably only hit 80% of what we are capable of.

Now James has tasted derby day, I hope he now feels at home.
DCL just unstoppable.
If Carlo sticks with Godfrey at RB, can we have a flashback to the Lescott/Mountfield days?

Re: everton v liverpoo
Immediate post-game thoughts:
1. Keane was superb.
2. DCL's first touch, jesus. That boy is a star.
3. Pickford is just a pick 'n' mix. Someone else said they don't know what to think anymore re Pickford and I'm the same.
4. We could and should have lost that 5-0. Pickford should have been sent off and they'd have had a pen to go 2 up inside 5 minutes.
5. We remain top of the league this weekend and we've got the shite out of the way for a few months. Onwards and upwards.

Where is Bernard though? Iwobi gets the nod over and over, and I find Iwobi to have a terrible touch and panics a lot with passes that are more like shots when he's closed down which puts his receiving teammate under pressure.
