I thought the same last night, brings other players to the forefront. Ideal time to cash in, in my opinion.
Re: 25: Marouane Fellaini - Short, Back, in Side
We are pretty awful with him or pretty awful without him, he doesn't seem to make much difference but the money we get for him just might!

My only concern regards to selling Fellaini? Should David Moyes go at the end of the season? It will be left to Kenwright to negociate the selling on fee. Remember the Rooney debicle ? payments made in instalments and add ons.Plus,it was left too late to replace him.Should Moyes decide to leave it could throw tranfers into limbo whilst finding a new manager.
I don't know if most on here are aware that Chelsea (the likeliest club for Fellaini to go) have agreed with Uefa,to be one of the clubs to cap wages and excessive transfer fees.I just hope it don't come into effect just yet so as to allow us time to rebuild if Fellaini does part company.
Re: 25: Marouane Fellaini - Short, Back, in Side
even so, i think felli is still worth in excess of £30 million the cap and fee has got to be phased in over next 5 yrs or so

I can't see anyone paying more than £20m for him, maybe £25m at the most.

+1. Hopefully nearer £25m. Baines will have two years left on his contract in the summer, so we probably need to sell him then if we're to get any dosh for him. How much for Leighton? £18m perhaps?
If we keep Baines, why don't we do a Gareth Bale on him? Stick him left midfield?
Howard
Coleman Jags Distin/Duffy Oviedo
Ossie Gibson Felli/replacement Baines
Mirallas
Jelli
Hopefully, with the Felli money, we'd also sign replacements for Jelli and Ossie, plus a couple more. Get shut of Nais, Neville, Heitinga too, that will free up a few quid. Moyes/replacement could go on a huge spending spree. With Baines in midfield, we'd be a lot stronger winning the ball, allowing Felli/replacement more chances to push on.

if we were offered 25M for Felli we should consider it seriously... if we get a 30M bid we should bite their fucking arm off... that's at least two-three decent new players & a tasty wedge for Nat West wanking fucking bankers

We'd take GBP20M for Felli and GBP10M for Baines. As long as it was it 100% up front or something close by.
Man Utd will value their RB Rafeal more than Baines.

£10m for Baines? He must be worth at least double that and I'd be disappointed with anything less than £25m. He's sensational.

We're not cash rich. So GBP10M cash is a big offer. We could easily be offered GBP17M over 5 years for him from an European club.

he's the best full back in the league by a mile now.. way better than Cole... he's 28 so at today's fitness levels in his prime... maybe just a little older than ideal if I'm being honest.Mr_Ben wrote:Made 4 Gwladys wrote:if we took that for Baines I for one would be very pissed offMr_Ben wrote:Made 4 Gwladys wrote:if we were offered 25M for Felli we should consider it seriously... if we get a 30M bid we should bite their fucking arm off... that's at least two-three decent new players & a tasty wedge for Nat West wanking fucking bankers

10 mill would be insulting IMO & we would be better holding him to his contract & playing him ... we shouldn't entertain stage payments... we need the money up front to part with a prime asset like Baines

Fellaini's latest come and get me attempt is a little less subtle.
