Re: James Rodriguez
Hopefully a great signing... creativity from the middle... with grit from Allan / Gomes... will be interesting to see what Dacoure brings
Could bring out the best in Richie... and provide chances for DCL that he just hasn't had before... I expect the benefits from DCL & Richie in terms of increased chances & ultimately many more goals... could spark even more creativity from Bernard too
I'm really looking forward to seeing him

Re: James Rodriguez
Hopefully works out. He's definitely a superstar in South America, even in Peru. They were talking about Everton on the radio yesterday, which is something I've never heard in my 15 years here.

Re: James Rodriguez
He's a lot bigger on social media than I ever thought!
As per the OS, https://www.evertonfc.com/news/1819073/james-signing-sees-everton-build-on-growing-profile-in-north-and-south-america
With 95.8m followers, James is the eighth biggest social media star of any sportsperson on the planet, above former teammate Gareth Bale and only behind Ronaldhino, David Beckham, cricketer Virat Kohli, basketball star Lebron James, Lionel Messi, Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo.

In hindsight that sure feels like he was just after a last payday to stuff his bank account. Disappointing.callmebubbles wrote:Will probably end up as big a success as Eto'o

Re: James Rodriguez
From Sport Witness - "There was big expectation from Argentine side Banfield that they’d get part of the fee from James Rodriguez’s transfer from Real Madrid to Everton.
But according to a financial official at the club, they won’t receive a penny from the move. Just like the Galacticos.
On Banfield’s official website, there’s a statement from Ignacio Uzquiza in which he says James Rodriguez has moved to Everton on a free transfer.
Due to the big speculation about how much the Toffees paid for the South American star, the Argentine club went to see how much they’d get from the solidarity mechanism. When contacting the sides involved in the transfer, Banfield found out that no one is making a penny from the move."

Wow, still early days, but man was he smooth against Spurs. Deal of the decade so far, maybe even longer back.Yankthattoffee wrote:From Sport Witness - "There was big expectation from Argentine side Banfield that they’d get part of the fee from James Rodriguez’s transfer from Real Madrid to Everton.

Every Evertonian called James now has his next birthday/Chistmas chosen for him. (and maybe a misspelled Alan)

Re: James Rodriguez
Everton star James Rodriguez has been miscategorised as a creative player and shouldn’t be playing out wide.
That’s according to former Millonarios and Colombia star John Mario Ramírez, who believes the player is wasted if he is playing in a right-wing position.
That’s the role he’s currently occupying for Everton, with Carlo Ancelotti having preferred him in that position since his arrival on a free transfer from Real Madrid in the summer.
Of Rodriguez’s 17 appearances in all competitions so far for the Blues, ten have come as a right-winger, with five seeing him play in his preferred number 10 role and one, the win over Wolves, seeing him occupy the role of a striker.
Contradicts what Carlo Anchelotti and everyone else believes is James Rodriguez is the most creative player in our team.

John Mario Ramírez...who? And where does he think James should play? Centre back?

His shout-out is to see James Rodriguez play in number 10 position behind DCL, If Ramirez been following James he would surely know James Rodriguez
has been playing a free role.

I hope this is bollocks....
Everton's Colombia attacker James Rodriguez, 29, is considering leaving the club despite only moving to Goodison Park last summer. (Defensa Central - in Spanish)

I will simply say this - I thought he surrendered in the Fulham game. Hope I'm wrong, I hope he was about to be subbed anyway, but he was fouled and got subbed straight away, and I didn't even think it was a foul. I certainly couldn't see how he got hurt.
Re: James Rodriguez
Ancelotti plays down James rumours
Liverpool v Everton (Sat, 17:30 GMT)
Everton
Carlo Ancelotti has dismissed rumours James Rodriguez is unhappy with the weather in the north west and is looking to move back to Spain.
"He's ok he has no problem," said Ancelotti. "I talk to him every day. He's confident and motivated.
"He had a little problem with his calf in the past few games but now is in good condition.
"He feels really good here because everyone takes care of him. And that's it
"I don't know if he complains about the weather. We know it is not the best weather but there are a lot of good things in this area."
Re: James Rodriguez
He had an explosive opening 4 games, but the VVD tackle seemed the start of his troubles since.
Defenders are now going for his left foot/ankle pretty often so maybe the PL is just too brutal for Jimmy.
Just ask Traore at Wolves.

Yeah he won't get a TJ Hughes in Paris or Madrid, the whingeing twat.
Maybe Yerry can take him to Knowsley Safari Park for the day when it reopens, that'll cheer him up.
Re: James Rodriguez
This came from an anonymous source close to Real Madrid. Allegedly he wants out due to weather, culture and English football being to rough. It sounds like complete bollocks.
The weather can't be holding any surprises for him. I doubt he's had chance to take in the culture given he's been in a fucking bubble. As for football being too rough, well if he can't handle that, he may as well go anyway.
The way I see it, if he sulks for the rest of the season, he'll be shit and may as well go anyway. If he hits form again, surely he'll be happy and will be more likely to stay.
Shit, I should probably be doing Brands job.
