Match was delayed in first half due to hail shower the size of golf balls! Incredible scenes.

I hope, for his sake, that is just pure speculation on your part.Helenqu wrote:Lukaku limped off the field tonight. Maybe he won't be playing in the world cup after all!

Apparently injury not too bad:

Talk about put yourself in the shop window! "The complete striker"? Hmm, I guess he's hoping that nobody actually saw his performances last season, because he's far from that. Clearly not interested in coming back here - he only seems to be praising the club because he's trying to make out that being at a little club like Everton allowed him to finish his apprenticeship.
Just hope Bobby has someone similar up his sleeve. I liked the power and directness Luka brought which, in tandem with a nippy little finisher like Nais, was worth having.

I can't see Martinez bringing him back , his market value has been quoted as 25/30 million , besides don't want a player that dictates about champions league football and can't contribute himself.
Martinez will be looking at a cheaper option.

According to Bill he's still a target for us:

Bill is so full shite it's painful. To precis his quote: "Lukuka is worth a billion quid because he speaks loads of language, fuck me he's a right clever clogs. Anyway, luckily I once had a call from Abramavic's secretary asking if I could get him a couple of tickets for Blood Brothers, so we'll almost certainly definitely get Lukaku for tuppence. Job done. Now, where's that Gareth Barry, I'm going to offer him a ticket for the matinee and a free ice cream if he signs on with us for ten years."
Re: Romelu Lukaku - Chelsea's loss (for this season)
He is quoted as saying by Sky Italia: "I'm proud of Juventus' interest in me, but I'm just thinking of Belgium for now."
i am saying " you get 1 chance to play for EVERTON "

If he helps us win some silverware like Amokatchi arguably did, I'm fine with that.

Re: Romelu Lukaku - Chelsea's loss (for this season)
Chelsea will drop the asking price of Everton FC target Romelu Lukaku amid interest in the Belgian forward, Squawka reports.
Roberto Martinez is keen to tie up a deal for the 20-year-old who scored 16 goals for the Blues whilst on-loan last season and Chelsea's original asking price of £32m was a major stumbling block in any potential deal.
The London club had hoped that Lukaku's performances at the World Cup would see clubs meet that asking price - but after two below-par performances Chelsea realise they will get nowhere near that price.
Everton will have to move quick to tie up a deal with Tottenham also interested in the striker.
The Blues could face another battle to persuade Croatian winger Ivan Perisic to move to Goodison Park after his standout performances in Brazil.
Perisic has scored twice as Croatia went out in the group stages and, according to the Daily Star , Wolfsburg received an £8m bid from Everton last week.
However the German club are now keen to spark a bidding war after the wideman's excellent form in Brazil and Everton could be priced out of a deal.
Swansea City are set to offer a contract to Everton target Bafetimbi Gomis, according to Wales Online.
But the Welsh club will not break their wage structure in order to secure a deal.
The Blues have looked at the former Lyon man after his contract expired this summer and will need to move quick amid competition from the likes of Newcastle and West Ham.
The 28-year-old is a French international and scored 14 goals in Ligue 1 last term.

Chelsea want £32M for Lukaku. Is he really worth much more than half that?

..we should bid no more than 20M .. IMHO

I did read that, but I wonder if that means Chelsea think they can "only" get £25M, which I think is way too high.Made 4 Gwladys wrote:articles sayKnight of Thorgothshire wrote:Chelsea want £32M for Lukaku. Is he really worth much more than half that?

I'd bid no more than £18M for starters, and then let the bid go up a wee bit, but not much.
Re: Romelu Lukaku - Chelsea's loss (for this season)
Whatever we think the bid should be, I think we should start to make things happen with transfers either way.
We need to either bid for him or move on and look at other options.
Maybe we are, I dunno. But I think we need to start closing deals now
