His World Cup hasn't helped him. Looks like he could struggle leading the line against world class opposition.
I'd bid for him. He has proven himself with us. Unless he does a Jelavic and turns shite, I think it'd be a good signing.

I dunno, I think he's already done a bit of a Jelavic. He looked very ordinary in the second half of the season.

He had a dry spell before Christmas, but then scored big goal against Southampton before getting injuried. Since he came back from injury he started scoring again pretty regularly so don't think he has done a Jelly yet. Problem with Belgium so far is that there doesn't seem to be a gameplan. Just a reliance on the brilliance of individual players. So Lukaku has been starved of service. Don't recall him even having a shot

How do you quantify Kone as 10 times worse then Lukaku since he hasn't kicked a ball in anger yet, therefore unable to rate his level of shittyness yet.

Good luck to him, he's a great player but still only about half as good as he thinks he is.
We've got Steven 'The Weapon' Naismith for next season anyway.

I dont understand why Chelsea would let him go out on loan again. Just means he runs his contract down further before eventually becoming a free agent.
Think this is tripe.

Investment Cahill , If Lakaku does well in Spain, Chelsea get a good sale even more than he's worth now, Lakaku on loan to Atletico smooth's the path for Costa's arrival,
this has been done weeks ago , but not officially announced as Belgium still in world cup.

If it has - you'd think Everton would altready know this and move on to other targets?

Re: Romelu Lukaku - Chelsea's loss (for this season)
Romelu Lukaku has reportedly said there remains a “possibility” he could return to Everton FC next season.
The Belgium striker scored 16 times on loan at Goodison Park from Chelsea last season and manager Roberto Martinez has made his permanent signing his priority this summer.
But the Blues are understood to be facing competition from a number of top European clubs, including Atletico Madrid, for his signature.
It remains unclear if Lukaku’s parent club are willing to sell the towering forward but Martinez has made it clear that he wants him at Everton next season.
Quotes attributed to Lukaku have the 21-year-old as saying the door remains open for a return to Merseyside but he will not make a decision on his future until after a holiday following Belgium’s World Cup exit.
“I have the opportunity to stay at Everton, it is a possibility and it is something we will have to talk about. But first I want to go back to Belgium, see my family and get some rest,” Lukaku is reported to have said.

If Lukaku is a success at Atletico Madrid, it will be almost impossible for Martinez to bring him back next season , However ,If his loan is not as successful as it was at Goodison ,the fee could be more in our favour.
Romelu Lukaku is like a kid in a sweet shop, Everything looks tasty, but, It all comes down to the money.

Apparently talks are underway with Chelsea over a deal of just over £20m for Lukaku.
