Everton v Birmingham - Postponed
We've found our shooting boots so we'll murder this lot, 1-0 (Saha).

I'm a little concerned about the backline with Jags missing.
should be enough to keep these out though so will go for a 1-0 cahill to score

Re: Everton v Birmingham - Postponed
Its going to be rolls reversed from Monday. Birmingham are going to defend deep, attack on the break and shadow our players. We will need to be up for it and when the physical battle first, then hopefully take our chances.
Oh no, Arteta will be back..

Moyes looks like he prefers Tony Hibbert to Johnny H to pair up with Distin at CB. At the moment I would agree as Johnny H has been far below his best with his mind elsewhere(?). Hopefully Jags will be fit.

think thats because Johnny is injured at the moment to be fair. if either jags or johnny are fit they'll play.

We've no chance here, even if Tevez doesn't play. 3-0 City.

Re: Everton v Birmingham - Postponed
Easily get a draw against this lot..
I think it should be a home win, Tater and Pienaar should be back. But I have said that a lot this season, they can plant the bus like we did at City, and we need to convert the chances.
The question is "has our season turned"? Truthfully, I think we suffer the same lack cutting edge that City did against us when we planted the bus. Teams plant the bus against us.
They are at the wrong end of the table, we have to make sure it stays that way. If the corner is turned, then a comfy home win against a resilient side on boxing day.
I think it will be a draw sadly.

We will marmalize this lot. Shower of fucking shit they are. I wouldn't be surprised if we hit double figures, but definitely at least four.
0-0 draw.
0-0 draw.

This is the sort of game that Ossie, Mikel, Stevie P, The Yak, Louis, Billy, Pip, Distin, Beckford, Coleman and Magaye could all get on the score sheet.
1-0 Cahill (3 mins.)

possible good news
possible good news
David Moyes has not completely ruled out Phil Jagielka featuring for Everton on Boxing Day.
Reports this week said the defender would be out until the new year with a thigh strain but Moyes has not yet struck him from the squad to face Birmingham on Sunday.
John Heitinga is also a doubt with his ongoing knee problem, meaning there is a potential selection problem in central defence.
But the manager has the opposite problem in midfield, with Mikel Arteta back from suspension and Steven Pienaar also in with a chance of returning from his groin problem.
The manager was also able to report that Everton's training schedule has not been disrupted by the waeather this week, with undersoil heating at Finch Farm meaning preparations could continue as normal.
Moyes also ruled out an early return from loan for Joseph Yobo. The terms of his temporary deal with Fenerbahce do not permit such a move.
Re: Everton v Birmingham - Postponed
who would we drop to let Pieman AND Arteta back into the side? Os probably isn't fully fit, but he worked his nuts off Monday
i think we save them both for the trip to Spammers, we'll need a bit of squad rotation to get through the period, maybe drop Maroane into the back line?

Re: Everton v Birmingham - Postponed
Lawro predicts.....
Everton v Birmingham
I was at Eastlands on Monday and I thought Everton were very good against Manchester City, and good value for their win, which will be a massive boost to their confidence.
Birmingham's away form is a real concern and I don't think it is going to get much better at Goodison Park.
Everton boss David Moyes is going to have to make a change up front because Victor Anichebe is suspended but he actually has a little bit of competition for places because he left Yakubu, Jermaine Beckford and Louis Saha on the bench against City. Whoever comes in out of those three is going to be under pressure to perform.
Prediction: 2-0
