Re: Phil Jagielka - "Torres in my Pocket"
So looking forward to having him back, he's been very badly missed.
Re: Phil Jagielka - "Torres in my Pocket"
Just a thought. When Jags gets back in the team, I would not be surprised if he is paired with JohnnyH, in preference to Distin or Yobo. This would make either Distin or Yobo surplus to needs in the summer.
If Distin only signed up for a year it would make his departure easy, or would we hang onto both Yobo and Distin after the summer as squad players?

Distin signed a three year deal.

we've outgrown yobo now, his distribution is effectively a hoof, as is Jags I suspect, but hopefully with Johny 5 alongside him he'll calm down a bit.

i think jags will take at least 12 months to get back to his best, which gives yobo time to learn to pass on the ground(again) i don't think it's a suprise since lescott left and jags injured, his distribution etc, has gone backwards.
Re: Phil Jagielka - "Torres in my Pocket"
From a business/footballing perspective, it's probably a good time to ship out Yobo while he's still worth a few million.

Agreed look at Arteta and he is a playmaker, it'll take time hopefully the remainder of the season and then a decent pre season and BANG we are back in business.

Another few days of training won't do him any harm. Want to make sure that he is completely ready for a return to action, even if it is going to be the reserves.

they are shit compared to the men though - the snowboard cross was all like "wooooaaahhhh, mind my hair, don't get too close, does my bum look big in this"
The women's ski cross will probably be better but I was disappointed with the women's snowboard cross - no one challenging and pushing it, just a procession down the track with the women falling off cos they got "tired" along the way....

I agree Jags looked really shaky especially when he had the ball, he seemed unable to pass to anyone in a blue shirt for the majority of the game. Distin on the other hand looked very assured with the ball at his feet and made a number of good runs with the ball out of defence

When it said Dave Vitty i thought, who the fuck is he, then it says Comedy Dave and the penny dropped.
Sounds like a bit self advertising by Comedy Dave though
