Sheffield United v Everton
Well, at least we're not bottom, after Luton's defeat tonight.
So after today's Bonfire of the Squaddies, we at least know that Beto has to start. Unless Chermiti starts. Or Keane up top. Which I'll settle for, as it would mean Keane not playing CB (I had a tendency to hide my weakest players up front in my youth coaching days).
Prediction: untold misery.

I'll settle for us scoring a goal.

Re: Sheffield United v Everton
With Arse and Bees up next, this is THE game. If we lose today then its likely we will be bottom with 0 points after 6 games, possibly with no goals.
The board, etc, obviously dont give a fuck, after a momentously awful deadline day and pretty shit window overall.
Threadbare squad, no depth, especially at CB, no confidence, and barely beat the worst team in the league.
Only potential bright spot is Beto, but he will probably go off injured after 10 mins today and be out for months.
Sheff U are crap, but so were Fulham and Wolves and we lost at home. Looks an obvious 1-0 defeat unless Beto can spark something.
Dyche needs to sort his head. Keane and Patterson are liabilities and Garner must be RB. To me, our best line up would be Pickford, Garner, Branthwaite, Tarks, Young, Nana, Gueye, Duke, Danjuma, Beto, Chermiti. Thats about it, nobody else who is fit is worth a place.
I would take a point!!!!!!

Re: Sheffield United v Everton
The line up today is indicative of where we are at the end of the window. The only player who could be described as a winger is Danjuma, and the only other player who could be regarded as a creator of chances is Garner who will be played out of position wide right.
McNeil on the bench is good, but we are back to not being able to fill said bench, while the likes of Forest have to build an extra stand for their subs

We're at desperation stage mate. I'll try anything.
My lad has just bounded downstairs and, despite our precarious league position and a shambles of a deadline day, announces that he's "feeling confident" about this game. His optimism actually annoys me sometimes. I think he's already a fully paid-up member of the Beto cult.

I would also take a point, right now. Then get into the international break and try to get some of our injured players back and fit.
Re: Sheffield United v Everton
No Keane which is a bonus. Would have preferred Garner at RB and Chermiti in but its as strong a line up as we can put out currently. Don't lose, no more injuries and the international break would come at the right time. Obviously we can't have any confidence but lets hope Beto can spark something. COYB!!!!

Re: Sheffield United v Everton
Keane not even on the bench! McNeil is, however, so a small positive. He picked up under Dyche after looking total shite under Lamps

Re: Sheffield United v Everton
Empty spaces on the bench but no Keane, gray, Gomes, dobbin. If they’re injured why not replace them with U21s?
Is dyche making a point?

Even under Moyes we had a few more players.
Our pursuit of Gnonto seemed to be similar to Koeman's pursuit of Geroud.
In the circumstances Iwobi's transfer seems self destructive.
Why dump Gray?
Our financial plight seems amplified by how we let Gbamin go. Just another 4 year drain on us.

Awful. We’re gonna lose this. Utterly abysmal, wasteful, amateur, can’t cross, terrible decision making:.

Depressingly familiar.

The mood in the dressing room must be dreadful.
How do you pick up a team like this, when so much with the club is in disarray?

Re: Sheffield United v Everton
Just after the Duke scored, Sheff U were 13-2 to win on the exchanges. They obviously havent seen us play or how spineless we are. £20 on that and the obvious happens. TV turned off now, not watching any more and unlikely to use the season ticket again. Just need to win enough backing against us for the rest of the season to make back the wasted money getting it this season. What a bunch of cunts from top to bottom.
