Sheffield Wednesday v Everton.
Sheffield Wednesday v Everton k/o 19.45 pm Tuesday 24th September 2019.
Third round the EFL Cup, Hillsborough.
Everton travel to Championship side Sheffield Wednesday, anything but a win? will seriously put Manager Marco Silva top of the sacking race,
Hopefully Andre Gomes will have recovered from a rib Injury, which kept him out of the defeat to Bournemouth.
I expect Marco Silva to name a strong team for this fixture.
0-2 Richarlison and Moise Kean.

Seriously? We are 5 games into the season and if we would have won Saturday would have been on the same points as Citteh!!
Fans really need to get a grip here.
Biggest issue isn't the manager, it's the fact that we still haven't replaced Lukaku, we can't pin our hopes on a teenager.

2-1 to the blues, its a cup game, anything can go wrong, and no doubt it will.
Not confident in the team at the minute, and they are probably not confident either, but a win none-the-less.

1-3 to the Blues. Sheedy, Bracewell and Gray.
P.S. Don't we play Sheffield Utd before this?

Gravy, for someone who predicts Everton to lose or draw every week, I find your comment laughable, Silva has been at Everton long enough to sort things out, we needed a couple central defenders in last transfer window to replace Zouma and Jagielka, we bought none. as you said we haven't replaced Lukaku, yet we bought a young lad Moise Kean who can't get enough playing time because Silva prefers Calvert Lewin.its not the fans who need to get a grip ? Its the manager Marco Silva.

I thought it was Brand's job to bring in the players?SEFTON wrote:Gravy&Chips2 wrote:"Everton travel to Championship side Sheffield Wednesday, anything but a win? will seriously put Manager Marco Silva top of the sacking race"

Anyway, regardless of who we missed out on, or who we let go, the players on the pitch have a job to do and they need to do it, and that includes 100% focus when defending.

Jay, Marco Silva has a say who to buy as well, point being? Farhad Moshiri has spent a lot of money and we don't look like we are improving, hence the point about Silva being top the sack race.
in fact we look a lot weaker than last season, losing Gana Guye and Kurt Zouma is really hurting the team and starting to show on the pitch.

Hi Sef, you clearly know more about what goes on at EFC than I do, so there's no point in me commentingSEFTON wrote:Sack the Juggler wrote:I thought it was Brand's job to bring in the players?SEFTON wrote:Gravy&Chips2 wrote:"Everton travel to Championship side Sheffield Wednesday, anything but a win? will seriously put Manager Marco Silva top of the sacking race"

Re: Sheffield Wednesday v Everton.
We need to beat both Sheffields or I'll be demanding that Moyes gets the sack.

Its not about my knowledge of the Club Jay, Its about Performance of the team and Management, Its clear for all to see we are NOT performing.
Re: Sheffield Wednesday v Everton.
Well chaps, I'm off with 3 eternal optimists, to view the game first hand.
My first visit to Hillsborough since Snodin missed 2 lobs in 2 minutes.
If I'm not heard of for many a day, we'll be in the Snake pub............. (sorrows or cheers?)

Re: Sheffield Wednesday v Everton.
I just checked the last time we played Sheff Wed and it was back in 2007, in the 3rd round of the League Cup
That night was also away and we came out 3-0 winners with Yakubu and McFadden (2) on the scoresheet.

Interesting to see Digne at the armband instead of Davies.

I don’t think there’ll be any links. I don’t think the game is being televised

That seems to be the consensus on some other forums.
