Might be because Farhad appointed this fella as our chief physio.

No ACL damage, back soon hopefully.

Great news. I guess we may not see him again this season but he's still good enough to play a role next season, whatever league we're in.

I hope he carries on til he's 100. Ranks alongside Alan Ball, Peter Reid, Joe Royle and Per Kroldrup as my favourite Evertonian of all time.

Coleman is basically a sliding scale, a unit of measure for how good/average/shit we are. There should be no place in an aspirational, apparently on-the-up Everton for a 34-year-old Coleman (see the Ancelotti era). In an average Everton we'd see him as a placeholder until we signed someone better. Now that we're shit again, he is essential and I'm genuinely pleased (or is it more relieved?) that he's sticking around.
In fairness to Coleman, last season was his best in years, until the injury. There is a lot to admire about someone who can perform at his best when all around him is falling apart. Kane at Spurs was another example.

Aye but the RS kept James Milner til he was pushing 40, and they're the best club in the universe or something.
