Re: Jack Rodwell - Beckenbauer in err Sky Blue
I genuinely don't think neither he or his dad will want to go UTD yet. Jack is in a good position now and will get genuine chances at Everton, other bigger clubs could see his opportunity diminish. Another season maybe. With our finances we are vulnerable to big offers for anyone.

True, and that's rather worrying. It's almost as if we are totally relying on tv money and to unearthen a local lad every 7-8 years....Blueyaletdinov wrote:I genuinely don't think neither he or his dad will want to go UTD yet. Re: Jack Rodwell - Beckenbauer in err Sky Blue
He's a rather versatile player which is great. He's not afraid to take on the defender like he showed against Man Utd, so maybe it's not clear as to which position would be his best yet. There is a lot of talk about him geing the next CB at the club, but we'll see.MagicMike wrote:I agree Thorg. I'm curious as to where Rodwell will eventually fit into this team. At the moment he's filling in a bit, but with Fellaini looking likely to cement himself in the DM role, will Jack compete with Arteta for the other central position? Or will he end up a centre half?
rodwell signs new contract!! (official now, not just rumour)
that rodwell signing a new contract is likely to be announced today!!
Oliver Kay/Phil Mcnulty both twittered something about it this morning too, bluekipper's 'in the know' people announced it a couple of days ago, happy days if so!!!

I got the inside track from the man in the know on GOT about 3 days ago. Didn't I put something up here about it?

I can see Rodwell making an impact this year. We'll see more competition all over the pitch with fit players as well (hopefully). I'm really looking forward to the new season.Mr_Ben wrote:http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/sport/821790/RODWELL-SAYS-NO-TO-RED-DEVILS.html

Keeps the wolves from the door for a year in all fairness. Especially if we have a similar enough season next year.

Didn't realise Wolves were after him as well. Maybe we could do a deal and get Doyle thrown in as well.

Yeah. Wolves going for the title next year and see Rodwell, Paul McShane and marlon Harewood as the spine of the new team tipped for greatness
