We've sorted the defence; we now need to figure out how to keep the ball better. If opposing teams are getting 60%+ possession, they're eventually going to score. Having DCL back will help as Maupay's ball retention isn't great.
That said, we probably shouldn't judge ourselves on games against Manure and Spuds as we're not at that level. Even Toon (who we play next) are a step above us. The games after that will be a good gauge of where we are:

we were looking ok until the JP error.. it changed a lot ... Bassouma when he came on shaped Spurs better.
Taking off Gana was a mistake.. their 2nd goal would have had that area of the pitch marked.
It didn't help playing the last 15 minutes with 10 men (bringing Rondon on is the same as getting a red card).
I don't think we had a single shot in the 2nd half..
oh well .. onward
