If we don't beat them by 5 goals then we are shit
If we don't keep a clean sheet against championship quality strikers then we are shit
If we lose another player to a hamstring injury then we are shit
If Bobby wear fuckin brown shoes then we are shit
If we get any result worse than a 5-0 win and Bobby says we were phenomenal then we are shit

so my prediction is that we are shit.
I suppose super Kone is shit too Very Happy
If Kone doesn't get a hattrick then we are shit cheers

OK Chaps and Chapettes, here comes the inevitable .....

Kevin Mirallas, injured an ankle against Villarreal on Sunday, is doubtful.
Concerning, particularly as Martinez is already without, for one reason or another, Aiden McGeady, Steven Pienaar, Darron Gibson, Muhamed Besic, Gerard Deulofeu and Tony Hibbert.

Well out that list Peinaar & Gibson are always injuried, McGeady and Besic have by and large been shite, Hibbo doesn't play anymore so only really Deulofeu to be concerned about. There. A problem shared, is a problem quartered. Very Happy

Would prefer to play McAleny than Kone. Should Kone play and score ? Martinez would big it up like it was Lukaku that scored. Very Happy

I don't see us winning this at all. In fact I see us being in the bottm 4 or 5 after the first 10 games. Massively unimpressed with everything pre-season (like everyone else).

I've not watched any games and paid minimal attention but will tune in for the serious stuff this weekend.

After being so full of optimism at the beginning of last season, and ultimately ending up so disappointed, my only glimmer of hope for this season is that my pesimissim turns in to joy and surprise. That glimmer of hope feels a bit like when you stick a quid on a 20 game accumulator hoping to win £15k. You know what's going to happen but you still can't help but watch on the off-chance it comes good.

I'm with you there. I recall thinking this a few times under Moyes, but I always thought DM had enough nouse to nail down a sound defense and then go from there. With RM there's a naivety that bothers me. When I heard Coleman last year saying he enjoyed playing under RM because he encourages players to go out and express themselves. This struck me at the time as meaning "I haven't got a clue what to tell you, so go and do what you think is best." You never heard SAF or Maureen Yoyo, or Wenger saying "Go and express yourself." The players were given a role and, damn it, that's what they were expected to do.
Remember "No Fear" ?   For most of last season we played with loads of it.  Is that still written on a poster on Goodison Road?

Roberto Martinez says he will learn in the next 48hrs whether Romelu Lukaku will be fit enough to face Watford in Everton's Premier League opener on Saturday.

John Stones and Kevin Miralles are expected to shake off the ankle knocks they suffered against Villarreal in time for the clash, while winger Gerard Deulofeu (hamstring)has not yet been ruled out.

Tony Hibbert and Steven Pienaar (both hamstring) will definitely miss the visit of the Hornets and Darron Gibson will be out for at least another two weeks after undergoing minor surgery on his abductor muscle.

Meanwhile, Muhamed Besic and Aiden McGeasy (both hamstring) are both pushing for returns against Southampton next weekend.

Huh? I thought he just had heavy thighs or something? WTF is wrong with that big lump of uselesness? (I mean Luka, not the small lump of uselessness that is Bobby). What are the odds that Benteke will get off to a flier for the Shite, while our so-called "front man" will be lying around getting his legs rubbed with linseed oil until October.

Fuckenell.
