Re: Romelu Lukaku - Chelsea's loss (for this season)
Firstly it's the mirror trying to unsettle us during a vital time.Armchair wrote:Everton striker Romelu Lukaku could be the subject of a £33m bid from Wolfsburg, who missed out on the 21-year-old Belgian in the summer. (Daily Mirror)
Secondly, if Big Luke carries on the way he's played for the last 4-5 games, offers even higher will start coming in. He's a monster and a regular CL team would be his big opening to the big time. I can see him going for £45M +

Then we will have enough money to but David Nugent.....
Re: Romelu Lukaku - Chelsea's loss (for this season)
I'd like to see us keep Rom for at least another 2 seasons.

I actually see him and Kone forming a good partnership up front. Kone plays the holding role well, and frees up Luka to run at the defence.

Lukaku's much better running with the ball at his feet, but his hold up play has improved this season. You're right about Kone. He works hard and occupies defenders so Rom can have a bit more space.

Apparently Wolfsburg are prepared to pay £33m for him.

In a team with a strong CL midfield, he would be monstrous.
Let's just hope we use the money wisely.

Fuck him, and fuck his agent. He's really not that good. I'd stick the cunt in the reserves for the rest of the season and play Doris up front, then sell him.
Seriously, fuck him. Tell the agent to find a club that will pay £30m for a shit striker, or fuck off.
As good as Diego Costa? Yeah right, and McGeady is as good as Messi.

Re: Romelu Lukaku - Chelsea's loss (for this season)
I think Rom is going to be one of the best players on Europe. We've all seen the sides to his game that need to improve but he's got time on his side. I really hope he'd having a word with his agent. What a shithouse he is. Everton should make it clear that disrespect like that won't be tolerated.

Instead Martinez just says that there are several players who have that agent who have stayed at their clubs for extended time periods.
Re: Romelu Lukaku - Chelsea's loss (for this season)
THis has more to do with it, I suspect. Same for Sterling's agent

Re: Romelu Lukaku - Chelsea's loss (for this season)
With players from Saudi Arabia and the UAE on that list of the top 25 strikers in the world, I assume this site is just like the "The Onion".error 404 wrote:Lukaku best goal scorer in the world this year.... just saying like

Re: Romelu Lukaku - Chelsea's loss (for this season)
Everton manager Roberto Martinez has hailed the influence of Romelu Lukaku after the 22-year-old Belgian striker became only the second Blues player, after Yakubu, to score 20 goals in a season during the Premier League era. (Liverpool Echo)

Bobby can wave around all the statistics he likes, Lukaku has failed to impress this season.

Only 10 in the Premier League is disappointing. He has looked better in the games where the team is more positive. Down to the manager to make sure the team play to his strengths now.

+1
On Yakubu he is still one of my favourite strikes we have had in my life time.
Big Duncan will always be No 1.
However the Yak 1-on-1 was quality. Such a pity he never seemed to score against Legacy Top 4.

My memory of Yakubu was very different. Was good in his first season - then after that fat, lethargic and disinterested for the next 3seasons. Waste of space IMO. Ended up having to take a £9m loss on him just to get him off the wage bill.

Its obvious for all Evertonians to see ? Martinez expectations and ambitions are not on the same wave length as the fans.
Lukaku has been disappointing to say the least, Kone's return to fitness would surgest how important it is we need another striker,
With Osman & Pienaar & Barry nearing the end of their careers respectively, we need squad rebuilding.
Re: Romelu Lukaku - Chelsea's loss (for this season)
the trouble is Bobbie's idea of re-building is buying shit like Besic, McGeady, Alcaraz, Kone, Cleverley, Atsu, Barry, Stick insects & Dave fooking Wheelan... he's got to go IMOsefton wrote:Hinchcliffe Corner wrote:Dixie Land wrote:hairberto cataract wrote:The President wrote:Everton manager Roberto Martinez has hailed the influence of Romelu Lukaku after the 22-year-old Belgian striker became only the second Blues player, after Yakubu, to score 20 goals in a season during the Premier League era.
