If he thinks Villa were tight with the dosh then welcome to Goodison Park Mr O'Neil.
Time to knock out a few extra plays Bill.

O'Neill would offer Pienaar 90k a week to stay. And Hibbo would get 110k pay rise.

I'd take that.Michael Crosby S74 wrote:I dont think the club can afford to sack him, I dont think he would walk away unless the club sold Rodwell behind his back.
Heard another rumour Yobo and Yakubu are going to West Ham and Donovan is coming in.
Suppose it's all rumours, but I cant see any deals being done for Moyes on the last day of a transfer window as any manager would want to get some players in.

I don't think Villa are enough of a challenge. I'd be more worried about Newcastle than Villa.

it's in The Times that Villa will go for mark Hughes however they are still interested in Moyes. Would be suprised if Moyes moved unless he was told he had 100m budget, which they don't

Re: DAVID MOYES - ex Boss
the only reason moyes would leave Everton this season if the board cashed in on rodders,
as its been said, moyes would look an idiot making cahill-rodders-arteta-coleman sign new deals,
then leaving.

Re: DAVID MOYES - ex Boss
Moyes may be of the opinion that he has tkaen Everton as far as he can and is therefore looking for a new challenge. But I think he would look at Villa and their (almost) equally limited funds and wonder if he could do any better with them. Plus, despite the result on Sunday, the performance showed that we are head and shoulders above Villa, even when we aren't playing that well.

Re: DAVID MOYES - ex Boss
Think this is all a reaction from the Villa statement on the weekend that theyre going for someone with good premier league experience, The bookies previously nailed on cert Bradley was then out of the picture so people have started putting money on an experienced prem manager who's not just signed for a new club and have made a rough start to the season having barely spent anything in the transfer window whilst every media source seems overly keen to link that managers players to moves away which he wouldn't want.
the bookies have just slashed the odds cause people are backing moyes to go, people are backing moyes to go due to the media bullshit which seems to lay out the storey of why he would go without backing any of it with any evdidence whatsoever. A couple of seasons ago the bookies stopped taking bets on Moyes walking due to a lack of transfer funds, he din't leave and then he sigend a 5 year contract.
Bookies odds are more often a reflection of betting patterns than a reaction to actual information.

i think the bookies drop a lot of the odds quickly themselves to attract speculative money.
