Re: Phil Jagielka - "Torres in my Pocket"
6-8 weeks or out for the season, depending on who you believe.
Re: Phil Jagielka - "Torres in my Pocket"
That's terrible news. Heitinga to partner Distin then.Bryan wrote:6-8 weeks or out for the season, depending on who you believe.

Not good at all. He hasn't been at his best this season but is still so important for us.
Re: Phil Jagielka - "Torres in my Pocket"
apparently back in training today

It will be interesting to see what Moyes does when Jags is back. I think that Heitinga has been brilliant recently and it would be harsh to drop him but Distin has been pretty steady all season. Jags wasn't at his best before getting injured but can be an amazing player.
Re: Phil Jagielka - "Torres in my Pocket"
Agreed. It will more than likely take Jags a couple of weeks to be even considered for selection since he just got back in training. And like you said, it would be uncalled for to drop the current CBs based on their form.Dixie Land wrote:Made 4 Gwladys wrote:apparently back in training today

I'd expect Jags to come in at CB and JH to moved in CDM position.

Am I right in thinking Jags has not figured in any pre-season game?
I wonder what is happening there?

Very brave header by Jagielka. He could well become an England regular.

Jags must have been the only England player doing press duties yesterday. He's quoted on Terry, Welbeck v Defoe, Baines v Cole, cake v Biscuits....
