Newcastle v Everton
We really, really need a result here.. COYB
0-1 late late Dele goal
----
Frank Lampard has revealed Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be in the Everton squad for Tuesday’s Premier League clash at Newcastle United (7.45pm GMT) but the Blues will be without Ben Godfrey for “four or five weeks” with a hamstring injury.
Godfrey sustained a torn hamstring in Saturday’s 4-1 FA Cup fourth-round win over Brentford at Goodison Park – a game Calvert-Lewin missed with a minor knock.
January signings Dele, Donny van de Beek and Anwar El Ghazi are in contention to make their Everton debuts at St James’ Park after being ineligible for the Cup victory.
Everton will be without injured midfield trio Abdoulaye Doucoure (groin), Fabian Delph (thigh) and Tom Davies (hamstring) for Tuesday’s game.

Re: Newcastle v Everton
I'm cautiously optimistic, hoping for a 1-0 win. But, my gut feeling is often way off so we'll see.
More than anything, I'm looking forward to the lineup. Really hoping that Rondon starts - obviously considering he used to play there but more importantly, how awesome and dominant he is!
Granted, he's no McFadden as Bubbles would say.

Re: Newcastle v Everton
Im hoping the confidence from the Brentford game will carry into this but the back 4 worries the shit out of me and I can see us losing this one (and most games). Very nervy game and defeat would be pretty disastrous. Keeping those fingers, toes, eyes and bollocks crossed that we can at least nab a point

It's more 'must win' for Newcastle then for us, so hopefully they'll crumble under the pressure

Re: Newcastle v Everton
Expected Beeky or Dele to start instead of Gomes... but after the weekend I guess it's justifiable
we need to win though & it's good to have some quality on the bench
Defence is dodgy again though
...and I guess DCL isn;t quite there yet.... good sub option though

Our bench looks stronger than it has in a long time.
Ridiculous that our only left-back isn't good enough to be first choice!

Mykolenko not on bench.callmebubbles wrote:Whi is playing LB? Holgate?
In the end RB screwed us with the sale of Digne.
It look as though he was right down Lampard's street.

I still cannot understand why the board allowed the sale of Digne when FSW was obviously so close to an exitYankthattoffee wrote:Mykolenko not on bench.callmebubbles wrote:Whi is playing LB? Holgate?
