Re: newcastle v everton
In the 1st minute of stoppage time DCL scores, and there are a total of 6 minutes to be added. Could we get a point after all?
Re: newcastle v everton
Andy fucking Carrol almost scores for us

Re: newcastle v everton
If Isco was watching he'd either think:
* Man, this team is shit, why oh why would I want to play there?
* Man, I'd walk straight in to this team which will give me minutes for the Euros.

That's two defeats against shit teams. Our bubble has been well and truly burst.

Strange team Carlo fielded today,we never looked like challenging, tik tak football, Gerry Mina is a dockey not an Everton type player , he’s always passing backwards,Carlo should played Anthony Gordon from start,we still got far to many dead wood players,we needed a right back and striker in summer window we didn’t do so ,now we are a very unbalanced team.
Disappointing .

Re: newcastle v everton
No creativity without Ritchie and James, will get beaten again next week. First xi is decent now but squad weaker than i thought. Newxastle are piss poor and we lost. This xi would end mid table or lower but add Ritchie, James, Digne, Coleman and Holgate and we could be around the top 6.
Survive until January then need another quick creative player (Zaha?) and back up forward ((Milik?) and lose the deadwood like Iwobi, Delph, Bernie and maybe Siggi?
Then we would be serious top 4 challengers!!

I didn't get subbing Nkk and then putting Delph at LB?callmebubbles wrote:No creativity without Ritchie and James, will get beaten again next week. I really liked Bernie when he first came here, but surely Gordon's pace would have asked better questions?
I guess Kenny was out of puff by that stage, but 2 FBs taken off?
Nkk and Gordon for the last 20 minutes would have been a better combo, but then again in Carlo we trust.
We're still a point ahead of Arse and Chelsea...... and a mile ahead of United. The mighty have fallen there.

Re: newcastle v everton
That we lost a game, ok, we have lost plenty of games over the years so that shouldn't come as a surprise, but the way we played was just so poor. It was really a punch to the gut after the promising start of the season.
Re: newcastle v everton
It just highlighted our lack of creativity in the squad without key players. No Ritchies pace, no Hammys qualiry passes and delivery and missed the 2 overlappimg fullbacks Digne and Coleman who.also have a bit of.pace and better service. Also Holgate is way better than Yerry. With those 5 in the team, I think we would have soundly beaten a poor Toon side, but the lack of threat up front, and then a dodgy penalty, and we had no answer.
IF we can keep most of the first xi fit, not have any more sending offs and maybe add some more creativity and pace in January, then I still can see a pretty decent season. Top 6 and maybe a Carabao Cup win? If Hammy is out for.long periods and Ritchie keeps.on losing it, then the usual.mid table will probably happen.

Re: newcastle v everton
I agree Bubs ... losing 4 key players is massive for us... Digne, Seamus, Richie, Hammy.
We are still 3rd though so don't get too down-hearted yet ... I'm sure Carlo will change things
Olsen looked good too, so that puts pressure on Jordan to not be such a massive bellend...

The truth only comes out when star players are missing, Richarlison is one of two players we have missed because his passion to attack and defend, the other Is Seamus Coleman, both players lift the tempo of our game Going forward, when Seamus is not there, Yerry Mina is open and can't defend, Yesterday Mina doesn't have the pace nor the skill to challenge the Newcastle attacker, he always back tracks when he should be holding up the attacker, hoping Carlo Gives Mina a rest like he did for Pickford, gives Godfrey a chance in his rightful position(Centre back) with both Digne and Coleman expected to return the ballace of the defence will be greater than against both Southampton/Newcastle.
