Rooney with a shot from way out. It's wide of the post but it's deflected slightly out for a corner.
Re: Everton vs Villarreal (Duncan Ferguson's Testimonial)
Close to 10 minutes left and by the crowd noise, Dunc must be close to come on. Or? Not yet.

Browning with a backpass and Howard almost kicks the ball out of the stadium. Phenomenal as Martinez would say.

Duncan is straightening out his socks over his shin pads.

84 minutes played when that sub took place.

Duncan wins a header right away. Don't think Naismith won one all game he was on.
Re: Everton vs Villarreal (Duncan Ferguson's Testimonial)
Fuck me he's a big lad now. Causes panic and Tylas scores

Browning scores with a header, he actually snuck in before Duncan got to the ball.

Re: Everton vs Villarreal (Duncan Ferguson's Testimonial)
And Duncan is sooo close to get on the end of that corner, just a bit too high for him.
Re: Everton vs Villarreal (Duncan Ferguson's Testimonial)
All over, and it's the same 1-2 score line as we are used to seeing against VR.
Re: Everton vs Villarreal (Duncan Ferguson's Testimonial)
Ah well.... They were too good once we started making subs.
Browning looks like the real deal, he was well marked for his goal but just powered the defender away

Duncan with a speech after the game. My in-laws were talking so I had a bit of a hard time hearing what he said, but he thanked Bill for being a great chairman, and he also thanked Wayne for coming out for the game.

I think we all do. We looked about as sharp going forward as a blunt wooden plank before he came on.Helenqu wrote:I want Wayne back

fuck me, I know it was only a friendly but we've been beat by shit teams the last two games out, and we got no confidence going into the start of the premier league where we'll be playing the best teams from last season in the first 5 games - we are doomed

This. Our best player was Rooney, closely followed by some fat balding fucking old man who came on at the end - oh, sorry, that was Rooney.
The only bright spot was that we have Luka to return on Saturday. At least, it would be a bright spot apart from the fact that he looks about as mobile, quick and deadly as one of Dunc's deceased pigeons.
Re: Everton vs Villarreal (Duncan Ferguson's Testimonial)
I'm going to make a bold prediction and say that we won't win the League this season. We are a bit shit.
