I almost swerved the game tonight but that was the most exciting game I've seen in years... we deserved the win..

A great game to go to but we should've been the winners. I had no pictures, followed it on here, then listened to the penos on the official website, that was entertaining ! Watched the recording when I came home, it was a classic

Re: West Ham vs Everton
the pity was that McGeady played very well apart from the two stupid fouls (well the first one was taking one for the team, the second was stupid)
Mirallas was apparently not 100% fit for the last few weeks (and was invisible for his first 5 minutes) but I'd say he played himself into the first XI today.

Re: West Ham vs Everton
Easier to type on my PC keyboard so just a few impressions from last night.
I have never sat with the home fans before and looked back on the Everton fans. They were awesome last night and the players (especially Lukaku who was constantly trying encourage them to wind the noise up) clearly responded to them. Loud and jam packed they out sang the home fans throughout the match. I was near the home end so even there they were clear and loud, just magnificent.
For a 24 year old who hasn't had the happiest time with us so far, Robles was amazing. He was under massive pressure all night from the home crowd who seemed to particularly hate him. Taking the penalties down their end must have been like being in a bear pit. He's got a real aggression about him too. I wasn't keen on him before last night but he proved himself worth of the shirt yesterday.
What is it with West Ham fans and handball? Virtually every time we touched the ball there was some idiot in the crown shouting "Handball!!"
They were wasting time like crazy towards the end of normal time when they were ahead, yet when we started to do the same the abuse was awful, they seemed to forget that what goes around comes around!
The players that impressed me most were Robles, Mirallas and Lukaku but all of the others were ready to sweat blood for the club. McGeady was the one player who stood out as not being up to the standard of the rest, yes he runs a lot and yes he tries really hard but I think it's his decision making under pressure that really lets him down. Hopefully they can work on that to improve his play because he does have speed and skill. Our older players, Baines and Jags in particular looked totally knackered by the end of the night. There will be some sore legs this morning.
Overall this morning I am a very, very proud blue!

James Beattie on Radio 4 saying how good we were "Great advert for FA cup. Everton better with 10 men, showed great fight and reaction."

Cheers for that Helen. Great game, but a harsh result. We need some of that spirit in the League and Europa league, now.

We were a better team when he wasn't there. Says it all.Made 4 Gwladys wrote:and by the way ... FUCK OFF McGEADY YOU TOTAL TOSSER
Sure, he got in a few crosses and tackled a few times, but ultimately he'll let you down one way or the other.
The rest were great on the night.
Now we can concentrate on league and Europa. Let's dump WBA.

Re: West Ham vs Everton
in many ways his first yellow was forgivable.. silly but forgivable... he'd done ok till then.Blueberto wrote:Yankthattoffee wrote:We were a better team when he wasn't there. Says it all.Made 4 Gwladys wrote:and by the way ... FUCK OFF McGEADY YOU TOTAL TOSSER

the second yellow as so late it left the ref with zero option.. it was almost like he'd had enough & wanted to be sent off... he's our worst player

He had more space at times than I've seen him get in recent weeks, but those cuts inside needed a better finish. It's those dreaded drag-backs, and stud rolls, that drive me nuts.Made 4 Gwladys wrote:in many ways his first yellow was forgivable.. silly but forgivable... he'd done ok till then.Blueberto wrote:Yankthattoffee wrote:We were a better team when he wasn't there. 8 losses in 10, can't mask shit results with a 'heroic' performance performance
We're still shocking, and in a relegation fight. If Martinez isn't shitting his pants with 'phenomenal' concern he fucking should be.
