That's about right. There were some positive signs, mixed in with the dross we have come to expect this season.

Whenever the lad gets the ball to his feet, he looks almost bemused as to what to with it. He gets a clear run on goal, last season he would have bladdered it, but tonight a poor pass into the area. Never chases back at speed. Looks disinterested at times. Don't get what's happening at GP right now.

x 14 , or however many corners they got.hairberto cataract wrote:Very good set piece, but where was the marker?
How many times did WHU take a short corner and half of our team don't even know what's happening. It's utter shite from a backroom staff who should be all over this sort of thing.

Following their 1-1 draw at Goodison Park on Tuesday evening, West Ham United and Everton will meet again at the Boleyn Ground on Tuesday 13 January, a game which will be screened live on BT Sport and kick-off at 7.45pm.

Also please note that after intense negotiation's this morning between Adidas & Umbro, the game will be a 2-1 Victory for West Ham. Goals in the 24th and 55th minutes from Andy Carroll & Stewart Downing before a late consolation from Steven Naismith in the 86th minutes. Everton fans will be invited to Boo Roberto Martinez from the 75th minute onward.

Looks like I will be at this game, albeit in the home area! Have West Ham supporting friends who will get the tickets. Just hope I am not too embarrassed!!

Don't really know, nearest tube is Upton Park so maybe that has something to do with it?
Re: Everton vs West Ham
The Boleyn Ground,[2] often referred to as Upton Park, is a association football stadium located in Upton Park, East London. Since 1904, it has been the home of Premier League side West Ham United F.C., with their predecessors Thames Ironworks playing their home games at Hermit Road. The stadium was also used shortly in the early nineties by Charlton Athletic during their years of financial difficulty. The current seating capacity of the ground is 35,016.[3]
Re: Everton vs West Ham
Up until recently, I've only ever heard it referred to as Upton Park, and I've known a fair amount of Hammers fans.

I think it's just wanky journos, pundits and commentators who call it the 'Boleyn Ground'. A bit like how Blues don't use 'Toffees'.

Re: Everton vs West Ham
i thought they were beginning to differentiate their old ground from the new one... (the ex-Olympic Stadium) - I wonder if they are going to call it New Upton Park

It was a question on who wants to be a millionaire and one of the options was Upton park. I would have definitely got it wrong.
