I can't see Martinez going with such an inexperienced back four - two full backs who have about a game of first team football between them would be pretty ballsy. Rather than Garbutt, I wouldn't be too surprised to see Oviedo get a start. Would love to see Browning start - he looked very good on Saturday.

WHY WOULD HE TAKE THEM THEN?

Martinez used the term 'perfect blend' last season in direct reference to manufacturing a team with a mix of young players and experienced ones. By taking more players he has more choice over the 'blend' that he may ultimately choose, but I just don't see him playing a back four made up of three near twenty year olds (two of whom have never played a full game for Everton) propped up by Alcaraz in front of a reserve goalkeeper.

There's experienced players on the plane too and I anticipate that at least one of your full backs won't start in favour of a more experienced player. Would definitely like to see Oviedo get a run out today though.

I would say so. Barry needs a rest and Besic needs games.

Maybe the sports psychologists have had a word about fielding a weak team at this stage of the tournament?
