Can't recall another derby where my expectations have been much lower.
May be this is a good thing
When we expect more we are often disappointed
So hopefully the reverse will be true

But I do feel for you locals. Like in your case, both your sons being supporters of the dark side. Do they give you hell when they beat us?

I don't see what all the fuss is about.
VERY CONFIDENT.
Re: Liverpool vs Everton
Has anyone heard the guff Roberto has been coming out with about the 27th Sept being the last time we beat the shite at anfield and how it's 'spooky'? It's embarrassing, if Bodgers was saying it we'd be giving them heaps. Omens shouldn't be part of a manager's reasoning it should be all false number 4s and overtrapping full backs, midfield rhombiods and shit.
Winning or losing the derby is down to the players A: Being good and B: Playing well. We can harp on about refs and in fairness we've had a few shockers, but it's usually a combination of the players either being crap or playing badly that loses us the game. He's starting to grate a little with all his positivity, sometimes a performance is just shite and needs to be called such.
7-0 Everton COYB!

Oh fuck.
Re: Liverpool vs Everton
Not really sure I understand the midfield. Barry and McCarthy being the DMs, but that's what Besic does as well, right? Mirallas and Lukaku out wide then and Nais up front. I hope that formation will generate enough creativity and not just mass confusion.
Re: Liverpool vs Everton
As per the BBC:
Is that true?
There are six Merseyside derby debutants in Liverpool's starting XI at Anfield today - Dejan Lovren, Javier Manquillo, Alberto Moreno, Mario Balotelli, Adam Lallana and Lazar Markovic. Everton fan Lallana and....

If Adam Lallana bags one today, he might be forgiven for feeling a little bit awkward. That's because he grew up supporting the blue half of Merseyside.
"Yes, it's true, I was an Everton fan," Lallana said. "Growing up my dad used to support Everton in the Gary Lineker days, when they were doing well so that's the reason I started following them. But when I was supporting them Everton always seemed to be fighting relegation. I seem to remember there were a lot of tears!"
But will he shed a tear for the Toffees this afternoon? Probably not...
