Everton V Liverpool
Everton welcome visitors Liverpool from across Stanley park for this Monday night's Merseyside derby, labelled by Sky as 'Mersey Monday', is live on Sky TV. Although Liverpool will be clear favorites for this encounter, nothing can be taken for granted in a Merseyside Derby. Everton will be buoyed by their Tuesday night win against 2nd placed Arsenal, coming back from a goal down to win 2-1.
Come on lads we can batter this red shite!
Mike Dean will officiate so expect a few yellow cards to be handed out.

Re: Everton V Liverpool
2-1 to us, the new lad, Calvert-Lewin to get the first goal for us, then the fans in the street end to get the second goal. The shyte will score because we can't keep a clean sheet, it'll probably be Jordan who scores for them, it'll bounce in off her left breast
Re: Everton V Liverpool
I fancy our new long ball overly physical direct approach with referee bias for us on all decision to take us to the win here.
1-0 ... Adrian Heath to score in the first 20 seconds

If we don't win this 8-0 Koeman should be sacked and the whole team made to run round Sefton Park dressed as donkeys.
Re: Everton V Liverpool
No Jags for this one. Still, Mori did well last time he played against them.

As reigning snitcher I feel it is my duty to point out that the title of this match thread is incorrect... not the capital V that separates the teams, which I feel is wholly forgivable... but the blatant and fowl spelling of the opposition which could be considered to make them near human & that alone makes it totally offensive.
Clearly the opposition should be spelt "shite"
I rest my case

They have been the foe for so long there is the original gaelic spelling Shoite that should be used... the capital v was and is an effective two fingers to the opposition and should be applauded artistically. So no joy for what must have been borderline frivolity on your part.

Lawro's Thoughts ?
Anyone who has even been to a Merseyside derby under the lights will tell you it is always a fantastic atmosphere in the stands and a bit gladiatorial on the pitch, too.
Liverpool are always quick and close the opposition down. Well, on Monday, you have to feel Everton should do the same.
There was a period in their win over Arsenal that Everton got a few big tackles in. That got the whole stadium going and from then on they were up and running.
That will happen from the first second on Saturday, which is why referee Mike Dean could play as big a part as any of the players.
I think Dean is a very good referee but he has shown more red cards per game than any other official to be in charge of more than five Premier League matches this season, and how he handles those challenges - from both teams - will be a huge factor.
These are always just absolutely mad games and, whoever is top or bottom, form has absolutely no bearing on the outcome.
I am going to go with a draw, purely because I don't know what is going to happen.
Lawro's prediction: 1-1

But he always goes for a 1-1 draw in 'difficult to call games' (I wish).
I'll go for 0-4.

Re: Everton V Liverpool
Simon Mignolet will continue in goal for Liverpool in the derby at Everton on Monday after he replaced Loris Karius for the win over Middlesbrough.
Karius was dropped after mistakes in a 4-3 defeat at Bournemouth and 2-2 home draw with West Ham.
"I don't want to change each week, that was not the plan," said Klopp.
"Simon had a really good game against Middlesbrough so he will be in goal for sure. We only made the change because Simon is in brilliant shape."

I haven't watched a derby for years. I'm toying with watching this one, but I'm not sure I can take the stress. I can always watch the highlights if we win

That's called "being an Evertonian", I believe.
