SITTER! - Aston Villa 0-0 Sunderland
And what a miss! My word, you have to score this! Emanuele Giaccherini hooks a shot over from two yards out! Gus Poyet cannot believe it...

We have played nice tidy football and it's a good team performance. Very pleasing considering we have lost Baines and we still have good options on the bench

We have been saying this when has come on that he loves taking on the defenders and cause general havoc. He's been tracking back pretty well as well, working hard. Great to see.hairy cataract wrote:That was Foo Foo's half for me. He's been at the heart of everything. He's definitely not quite there yet, but I'd like to keep him for a couple of seasons and see how he develops.

By the way, we're in fourth place now. CL position, in case Lukaku was wondering...

Good first half for the blues!
It is great to see some the of the football we are producing at the moment. Great passing display.
Foo Foo has a good first half. Again just needs to sort that final ball out but always looks dangerous and that left back looked shit scarred every time he got the ball.
Lets hope we come out in the second half with the same mentality and look to push on and finish the game.

This is what's allowing us so much space to play in the middle of midfield.Knight of Thorgothshire wrote:Stoke are defending rather deep, it'll be a challenge to open them up today unless we show some pace and intent when attacking.
Barry and McCarthy do a great job in the middle making us tick over and keeping us on the front foot.

McCarthy's pass to start that attack was simply sublime!
Re: Everton 4 Stoke City 0 (Deulofeu, Coleman, Oviedo, Lukaku)
Coleman's shot was a bit of a mishit, but we don't care.
