hope i'm not stepping on toes here,

Nice of you to step up to the plate mate, hopefully the start of a nice unbeaten run for you. What score are you predicting for the chance for bonus points in the match thread league?

26 - 0 to the barcodes, and Everton will get relegated on Goal difference and I will give up on football for good... or at least until we win a game.

Starting to feel the same mate, it’s all about Peterborough’s march towards the Championship now either automatically or via the play-offs. Think automatically might be a bit of a struggle so will have to be a play-off final victory at Old Trafford instead in May.

theres still the realistic possibility of a relegation battle to look forward to.
serioulsly though we are currently 6 points off 6th with a game in hand and also 5 points outside the relegation places with a game in hand both Europa cup and relegation can't be ruled out yet. This season has been a mess for most of the teams in the league.

I can't quite remember the frill of surviving a relegation fight, it'd be almost retro
Re: Newcastle U 1 Everton 2 (Osman, Jagielka)
given our inconsistency we'll win as many as we'll lose, have a couple of dodgy home draws and finish mid-table.
no chance of europe and, famous last words, we won't be in a dogfight at the bottom.

2-0 Toon, ant (out of ant and dec) to score a free kick, then Spoogy's brother from Byker Grove to score in the second half from a corner.
Anichebe to get his leg broken again.

Re: Newcastle U 1 Everton 2 (Osman, Jagielka)
Lawro predicts.....
Newcastle v Everton
Nothing has changed with Everton in the last few months in that they are a decent side right up until they reach the opposing penalty area. It has been a strange season for them and you cannot help thinking what their manager David Moyes makes about the general situation at the club, and the lack of money he has had to spend to try to rectify their problems.
I know they were without injured pair Marouane Fellaini and Tim Cahill when they crashed out of the FA Cup on Tuesday but I still expected them to beat Reading at home, especially after they had knocked out the holders Chelsea on penalties to get there and easily despatched Sunderland in the meantime.
You just cannot be sure what you are going to get from Everton, while Newcastle are far more consistent. The Magpies keep picking up points and have lost only once in the league this year. I cannot see Everton getting anything at St James' Park.
Prediction: 2-1

Gutted but true...how crazy is that? From top 5 a while back and now Newcastle are more likely to churn out results than us now.

The really crazy thing is that over the last two seasons we were repeatedly good at churning out results against the bottom teams. Now we get a result against a top four team half the time, get a result against a 5th to 10th-ish team half the time, and totally falter against the bottom of the table. Crazy stuff!

Re: Newcastle U 1 Everton 2 (Osman, Jagielka)
I can't see Toon scoring many as they have no decent strikers. If we can keep Barton and Nolan shackled we're in with a good shout but that won't be easy without Screech. I reckon Moyes will put J5 into centre mid to combat the shithouses that play in their midfield.

I think that may be the way that Moyes goes today to be honest:
Howard
Neville Jags Distin Baines
Rodwell Heitinga
Coleman Arteta Osman
Saha
It is one of those games that really could go either way and I wouldnt be surprised if we won, lost or drew today. If we are to win it could be due to a goal from Coleman or Baines (or a very unlikely candidate).
I'm going for a 39,248-2 win for the Mighty Blues after taking everything into account with Heitinga scoring his first (and also his nine-thousandth goal for us) goal today. Jags will score two own goals to close the gap in the final minute.
WHO THE FUCK ARE THE GEORDIE SCUNK BARCODES ANYWAY???
