Hang on, just on that Everton no-penalty...
In turns out there was a technical issue with the VAR screen so referee Simon Hooper wasn't able to see any replays. He overturned his decision on VAR's advice.
This is objectively bullshit. Surely this completely undermines the ref.
Re: Everton v Brighton
Granted, this Real Madrid team is really good. Say what? It's Brighton we are playing? Well, they are good too then, way better than us at least.
Re: Everton v Brighton
BHA again attack with pace tearing us up on the counterattack. Good defending from Tarks.
Re: Everton v Brighton
Can't see how Dyche can keep the same lineup for the Spurs game. O'Brien in for Keane probably.
Re: Everton v Brighton
I know it's still early days, BUT that was not good enough. BHA tore us up down the middle of the park over and over with some slick passing which made us chase shadows for large parts of the game. And it obviously didn't help that Young got sent off with some 15 minutes (I think it was) plus stoppage time to go, but the outcome of the game was already decided by then.
Bottom of the league after that reality check.

Re: Everton v Brighton
Season start optimism & delusional hope totally shattered... we are shit.
The rest of the season is easy now to predict our defeats.

Starting with Keane and Young. What could possibly go wrong??
There must be a reason we keep going back, but can't think of one at the moment.
That was predictably dire, no positives and many negatives. Unless we get Branthwaite and Coleman back sharpish, and they stay fit all season, we are fucked.
A shit day. I fucking hate football
