Everton are in negotiations with Villarreal over a loan deal for former Bournemouth midfielder Arnaut Danjuma, 25. (Bruno Alemany - in Spanish)

Personally I cannot see this happening as his rating is only 17 ! ... bloody timewasters

Yeah disappointing scrabble score but I have breaking news on this - my lad rates him.

He can't believe that I've never heard of him. I certainly don't remember him at Bournemouth. But some detailed research (well, a quick Wiki search) reveals a goals per game strike rate for a winger that might just help us out of our current shit.

My lad is far more often right than wrong when he raves about a player. He doesn't necessarily think this lad is the next Cruyff or anything - just plenty good enough to improve us right now.

Don't worry mate. As I've said before, I hadn't heard of him until my lad started raving about the fact we were linked with him. I don't remember him at Bournemouth at all. Like, I only pay Bournemouth any attention at all while they're playing (and hammering) us.

Which begs the questions, why are Villareal letting him go (albeit on loan, no option to buy), and why the fuck has he chosen to come to Everton?

It's a puzzler, isn't it? But let's not overthink it. We needed someone and we've got someone.

I see this happen quite a lot, in Spain and Italy in particular. Players moving on in moves that defy logic. Can only assume it's something finance-related.

Further research reveals that Villarreal appear to have used him a good few times as a striker.

I guess as it's just a loan we're paying him all his wages plus a bit more, and giving Villareal a hefty old loan fee, and he'll break his neck doing the kissing the shirt press photos on Monday, conveniently ruling him out until the end of May.

On the other hand he might save our season of course, especially once Moyes steps in for Lampard after West Ham and Everton somehow manage to both lose in El Sackico later on today.

Actually if you played A R L I S O N after somebody had already played R I C H..... then the length of the word would almost certainly take in a double word score PLUS using 7 letters gets a bonus of 50 points... so go figure...

I don't hate him for what he's done. What else do we expect? I would have been more surprised if he'd turned up for his medical, saw the manager sacked before he'd taken the thermometer out of his mouth, observed various disgruntled fans putting board members in headlocks, and thought to himself "yeah, this is the club for me."
