HNK Hajduk Split V Everton
UEFA Europa League First playoff round, Game 2
Thursday 24 August, 20:00 - Live on ITV4
Goodison Park, Liverpool
Everton go into the away leg of this tie leading 2-0 on aggregate, hoping to seal a place into the Group stages of the competition. Yet to concede a goal in this competition, Everton only need to shut out Hajduk Split to guarantee progress in the competition. With a 2-0 advantage, Koeman will seek to rest players with a visit to Stamford Bridge against hosts Chelsea foremost in his mind for the coming bank holiday weekend.
Its a 3000 mile round trip to Split's stadium in Croatia, for the team and fans, depending on which route you take. 2 hrs 50 mins with direct flights from Manchester airport.

Ideally, nick an early goal and then settle the game down
, rest a few players and close the game out
A nervy aggregate win 3-1

Anyone going
Everton have warned fans not to wear club colours if they are travelling to Croatia for Thursday's Europa League second leg match against Hajduk Split.
Crowd trouble marred the first leg of the play-off at Goodison Park, causing play to be suspended in the 33rd minute, with Uefa opening disciplinary proceedings against both clubs.
Split police says anti-social behaviour will be "dealt with robustly".
Toffees fans have also been advised not to display flags in any public areas.
Supporters have also been advised to congregate at a specially created fan zone in the city and will be given a police escort to the stadium.
Everton take a 2-0 lead into the match as they aim to reach the Europa League main draw.

Re: HNK Hajduk Split V Everton
think most of the fans will be fine, we all stick together in large groups for these kind of games. In fact the worst part of such a trip is usually the police being over zealous. The President wrote:Anyone goingEverton have warned fans not to wear club colours if they are travelling to Croatia for Thursday's Europa League second leg match against Hajduk Split.

I've got a ticket but I'm giving it to my mate, who is flying out tomorrow.

Does that go for their fans too?
Most important game so far this season, need to field a full strength side and get the job done.

Re: HNK Hajduk Split V Everton
Watch out for the racist chants. Split have already been warned over their fans conduct over this.

Re: HNK Hajduk Split V Everton
spoke to some who are travelling out on the day, they are giving the fanzone a swerve and they have picked out a few decent areas to go drinking instead. As its a tourist area there are probably loads of English out there already, so they don't think it will be a problem on the day.Blue gazza wrote:a bit of fighting there last night apparently,

Re: HNK Hajduk Split V Everton
Klaassen and Sandro both out for this, and probably for Chelsea too.
With Morgan suspended for Sunday too, looks like Besic might get some game time then.....

The hosts have won eight of their last nine European home games but have lost five of their last six European ties against English opposition, with the other a draw[
