Re: West Brom v Everton
West Bromwich Albion ahh.. Memories of childhood playing in the garden and coming inside to watch the 1968 Cup Final -bossing the match and losing to a Jeff Astle screamer... The first time I really remember us losing a match... Gotten more used to the feeling now.... But what comes around comes around... We will return...

And here's a little team news snippet.
He says right-back Seamus Coleman will be out "for another two weeks at least" and Romelu Lukaku trained this morning "without any problems".

The 2 defining incidents of Jimmy "rubber legs" Husband's career. That match and the Dave Mackay tackle.Da Judge wrote:West Bromwich Albion ahh.. Re: West Brom v Everton
That 0-4 game was horrific.
Van Der Meyde made his debut I remember. We left at 3-0 and got back home in under an hour.
Were there not three 0-4 in a row? West Brom, Blackburn and Bolton. Plus one at Villa.

They were getting there and then unfortunately some of the players found a hugh secret stash of jaffa cakes/biscuits that Martinez had left behind and they saw them away along with some fizzy pop. Koeman want crazy at the players and said that if they didn't sort themselves out, Niasse would be the first player on the team sheet each week.....

Re: West Brom v Everton
Bolasie and Lukaku to tear these fuckers several new arseholes as we start a winning run that will stretch right into the first week of September.
1-8 : Astle for them, Lukaku hat trick, Bolasie, Williams on his debut, Barkley, Hibbo and Frannie Jeffers for us.

Re: West Brom v Everton
Can't believe Luka isn't fit yet. Same side that ran out of puff last week, can't see us getting more than a point today unless we can win it from the bench

Yeah, exactly! It's not a strong bench if the three subs used are Oviedo, Cleverley and Lennon!
Re: West Brom v Everton
Everton manager Ronald Koeman: "It was not a difficult decision to keep the same team because I was happy with our performance against Tottenham and normally these players are in the starting line up.
"Romelu didn’t train for 10 days and has had only two sessions. Bolasie was closer than anyone to starting today but he is also on the bench.
"What you like to have is a strong bench and today we have a strong bench."
