Oviedo has been fit apart from when he was out with the broken leg. He's just way down the pecking order. I like him though (as a back up) and wouldn't mind seeing him staying. Gibbo on the other hand can leave.

OVIEDO & GIBSON

Gibson joins Sunderland from Everton for an undisclosed fee on a four-year deal.

Oviedo has put pen to paper on a Sunderland deal until summer 2020.

“Bryan is a very good player and he’ll help us get forward,” said David Moyes. “He’s quick and overall he’s a decent left-back.

“I signed him for Everton from Copenhagen as cover for Leighton Baines at the time, and he’s only not getting in because of how well Leighton’s done.

“We’ve got Darron on an 18-month contract and I think he’s a very good footballer; he’ll add a bit of quality with his passing and his play and I’d love him to add goals.

“He has a really good strike and if he can add goals from midfield it would be a big bonus.”

£7.5m for the pair of them.... not bad business, although the reality is it was £10m for Oviedo and we'll give you £2.5m if you take Gibbo as well

It's amazing how few games Gibbo has played in his entire career.
His goal against City was probably the highlight. I remember he had an unbeaten record of games 16 games with us when he first arrived?
For BO his goal at Old Trafford will be remembered for a long time.

Yes, that was a wonderful goal. He was so far up the pitch at Old Trafford, awesome stuff.

My overriding memory of that goal was Coleman's reaction....which way do I run... brilliant!

I hadn't been to OT for 33 years. Nasty place back in the day. With DM there, I thought it was on the cards. Lukaku bullied Vidic all over the pitch that night. Great atmosphere.
