Premier League: Everton 0 QPR 1 Empty Premier League: Everton 0 QPR 1

Post  RhinoJagz Mon 15 Aug 2011, 12:28 pm

Well I guess I go again, do I?

Well after all the drama of the cancelation of the game at White Hart Lane, Everton go into the 2 series of fixtures, still unbeaten and yet to concede a goal. The talk this week may surround who we can hold on to rather who we can get. Will Fabregas departure see a renewed bid for Jagielka? Will the Irish Toffee's in Dublin tonight be the last see him line out in a Blue shirt?
After the initial disappointment of seeing the Spurs game postponed, most Toffee's will probably now be glad see our first fixture again promotion punchbags QPR. Although they will probably have learnt from their bruising home defeat against Bolton, unless they can buy a few new players before Saturday they look well short of what is needed in the Premier League.

But can the Toffee take advantage, with the underdog tag from the Lane now replaced with overwhelming favourites tag this weekend? Will the home faithful grow restless if we havent put them to the sword in the opening 20 mins? Will their ire be directed at Bill Kenwright if our blunt attack are held scoreless after 65 mens as QPR park the bus?

So many questions. Who will over perform? Who will underperform? Will will lead the attack, provide the width, play deep or one up front?

Anyway who the fuck are QPR anyway? Its not as if Les Ferdinand is still up front. 4-0 Blues. Cahill (header), Saha x 2, Beckford.. cheers cheers

We should be the most settled side in the PL, with no transfers to speak of. Arteta & Felliani came through against Bohemiens on Monday night, with Coleman the only notable injury, we have almost a full strength squad.
I just can't see QPR getting a sniff on Saturday.

Stroll in the park. QPR will fold after two quick goals from Beckford and Baines, with the mighty Blues rushing to a four goal lead by half time. Second half, we'll take our foot off the gas a bit allowing them a consolation goal before a late screamer from subsititute Bily completes a 5-1 rout.

I have little confidence in us right now and agree with STJ.

If we can't beat a bunch of Irish postmen then why do we think we can beat a Championship team!

There goes my hopefully hopelessly wrong prediction. 0-0

I can't see anything but an Everton win.

A competitive game is completely different from a friendly game and our lads will be gagging to play after the Spuds game was cancelled. Add to that the fact that QPR were spanked 4-0 at home to Bolton. I would have thought Baines would be chomping at the bit and I fancy him setting up Felli for a goal to get us rolling.

I am going for a 3-0 win with Felli, Baines and Barkley getting the goals... actually, fuck that! We will win 198-1 with Hibbert beating Dixie Dean's goal scoring record in one game. Come on you fucking blues!!!

As long as we mark Les Ferdinand out of the game then we should avoid adding to the other 5 defeats.

But cant see Saha getting much change out of Peacock though.

Good point. Just get Leighton to smack all his free kicks into Paul Parker and one is bound to spin up and in.

No way - I've heard Baines can lob Seaman with a bit of assistance from Paul Parker. Allegedly.
