Bill is always quick off the mark when he gets an idea about the theatre. He's summoned Moyes to London to discuss his new play? SIR ALEX THE LEGEND.
kenwright wants moyes to play a young SAF.
Re: DAVID MOYES - ex Boss
They have just said on the BBC six o clock news that SAF has himself chosen Moyes as his successor and that he will be unveiled as such tomorrow Hope they are wrong! If so lets hope Moyes has done the same for us!

fingers crossed.

That's the reality based on media hype ,not confirmed as yet so I am sticking to clasping straws .
Re: DAVID MOYES - ex Boss
I guess if DM's gonna leave, now is as good a time as any.
If he takes Baines and Jags with him, and Felli moves on, we'll have maybe a £45M pot to offer a new manager.
Rooney then goes to PSG or a.n.other, and another chunk gets paid off the overdraft.
On the plus side, DM is unlikely to take any of our backroom staff etc.
Many concerned about other players jumping ship. Who?
Also, the timing of this announcement seems strange. Why not leave it until the end of the season? I can think of reasons like getting bedded into the job etc, but it still seems odd, other than SAF wanting a conquering hero exit, with a 21 gun salute at the final home game.

I can only imagine that it was leaked to the press so SAF brought forward the announcement.

Re: DAVID MOYES - ex Boss
I still can't get my head round it, it's probably the biggest job in club football and they are giving it to someone who has never won a trophy and minimal european experience.
Chelsea's revolving door policy won't help, United could probably do with someone like Ancelotti or Hiddink.
Still perplexes me they are going for Moyes. Suppose he can always work in the media if it doesn't work out, he doesn't need money I would imagine.

MUFC are a listed company and as such have to act upon information that can materially affect the value of the company. That said, as someone may have already posted.... United want Ronaldo back.... Ronaldo is unsettled and will happily follow Mourinho... Mourinho is coveted by their only true rivals ... this gets everything they want and at a real cost to the rival...
So it could be Mourinho... still... Gill has stated that they are looking for European and Domestic experience/success and the pool is limited.
Moyes is clearly out of contract soon... Mourinho is not..
This is not an overnight decision.... they know who they want and cannot announce?
Well they could announce Moyes... very quickly and they have not...
What they cannot announce is another manager still under an extensive contract and waiting to be fired.... Mourinho now knows that the top two clubs in terms of prestige and spending power are open to a new manager... who he chooses... Chelski with the arrogant prick of an owner.... or a club with a truer pedigree...
Who would you pick..

Just watching Chelsea cut through Spurs like butter. They will do us 6-0 on the last day of the season. Good news is - I'm going! Hope Moyes will still be in charge so I can give him a "send off"

As Ive been saying, Benitez has Chelsea playing great football at the moment, plus keeping all the ego's in check. If he was there next season, they would be real contenders. As much as I hate to say, Benny has done well.

I've got 2 Light Night gigs in Liverpool, but hope the timing doesn't clash, so I can do both.
Saturday drive down to see Clapton at the Royal Albert Hall, and then the Chelsea game on the Sunday.
Got the Crown Plaza in Shoreditch for £90 a night on 'Hotels Direct'. Never done that one before. You don't know the name of the hotel until you book it. Living dangerously these days.

Shoreditch eh you trendy dude. I've got a great sporting weekend lined up. My mate from Liverpool is coming to stay and we're going to Lords for the Test Match on the Saturday, and Chelsea for the footie on the Sunday. Really looking forward to it. The missus is delighted

Re: DAVID MOYES - ex Boss
Former Everton winger Andy van der Meyde on David Moyes:
"My relationship with him wasn't very good but he is a very good leader. I really enjoyed his training and he can really push you to the limits. In my case, the limit was three bottles of vodka and a gramme of finest cocaine snorted off a lapdancer's buttocks"

This has been a complete joke on Everton's part, Moyes has been coy all season which brings me to think kenwright and the Everton board knew what was going to happen.
As statman says ? to many coincidence's, SAF'S retirement -Rooney putting in a transfer request two weeks ago-Phil Neville quitting Everton. As much as we all wish David Moyes every success in his new job, Everton fans know that Kenwright and the board will take us right back the days before Moyes came ,all we have to look forward to is relegation -football mediocrity.
It will be interesting to see what players will jump ship in the summer and what funds if any the new manager gets.
Rumour has it that Everton academy Director Alan Irvine will be in-charge for Sundays game at Everton , so a farewell to the fans for all their support of David Moyes looks very unlikely.
