22:Ayegbeni Yakubu - being fed on Chicken!
Anyone know how many games he has played for us, plus coming on as a sub (if he ever has) and goals scored?
Cheers in advance

I thought it was high, I remember the season before last he score 19 goals ( or close too)
Just shows what we miss
My main question was I couldn't think of how many games he had played for us.
Hopefully this season we can keep him to mainly the Premier League and Europa League matches only.

We need him, it would be good to have him available for the Wigan game.

Re: 22:Ayegbeni Yakubu - being fed on Chicken!
Is he already at the point where he can play for the first team though? I mean, it's great he's playing for the rezzies now, but it's still early on for him. I suppose that a 15 minute cameo at the end isn't too hard on him though. I'll just shut up now.Mr_Ben wrote:We need him, it would be good to have him available for the Wigan game.

I think you will find it was actually 31 seconds.......and then set up Gosling in the 7th minute

Yak scores
Everton Res. 3 Burnley Res. 0
Yakubu enjoyed a dream start to his comeback game as he scored inside the first minute of Everton reserves' 3-0 win over Burnley.
The Nigerian latched onto James McCarten's long ball and calmly sidefooted home after just 31 seconds.
He then drove down the left before finding Dan Gosling in acres of space, the winger finishing calmly to double the lead. Cody Arnoux completed the scoring late on.
The returning striker was in competitive action for the first time since November last year when he ruptured his Achilles at Tottenham.
And his early impact will surely have pleased everyone associated with Everton, not least the onlooking David Moyes.

22:Ayegbeni Yakubu - Feed The Yak and he'll sidefoot it wide
I know it will take a long time to get back to 100% after the awful injury that he sustained but I was just wondering if he has forgotten what position he plays. Since he has come back he is constantly on the left wing, which doesnt work when we play one up top. Im not sure if it is frustration as he wants to be more involved but it means that whenever we break there is nobody up top. I think Saha showed the benefits of playing in postion by latching onto Cahill's pass yesterday.

I remember the Yak doing the same before he got injured last season. I hope the Yak can get back to his best but he looks awful at the momment!
