Liverpool vs Everton
(I checked and there is previous for both the shite and manu games not following the usual protocol for correctly naming the fixture - however as that doesn't appear to bring us luck....)
I'm never hopeful for the derby, the last one I watched in public, rather than from behind the couch, was the AJ one. Just like that time, however, they've a joke of a goalie and defence but a spectacular attack. Getting stuck into their ballet dancers early doors might be useful but how much rope we'll be allowed will depend on the ref*.
Their pace is going to cost us though, so it's going to be two rows of 5. I know Besic isn't Mr. Congeniality around here but we don't have a Barry to inflict some damage so I'd find space for him. However I think the players who had the awayday yesterday won't be included at all, but I'd expect Sandro and Niasse to be off the bench at some point. Lookman however always looks like he could play 180 minutes a week so if anyone was going to do double duty he'd be the boy.
0-1, Carra og
Sunday 14:15 Liverpool v Everton
*Referee: Craig Pawson
Assistants: Lee Betts, Adam Nunn
Fourth official: Martin Atkinson

Re: Liverpool vs Everton
They will be over confident, while we will be quietly confident.
Worryingly, they are scoring for fun at the moment.
The first 20 and last 20 will be crucial to keep them from scoring.

Re: Liverpool vs Everton
If we can injure Mane, Salah and Coutinho in the first few minutes we might have a chance of keeping the score below double figures.

Re: Liverpool vs Everton
I fear we are going to get kicked in the teeth pretty good. 4-0 minimum, possibly 5-0. I am clearly not very optimistic.
Re: Liverpool vs Everton
We have kept 3 clean sheets (doesn't matter who we played)
We have scored 9 goals (doesn't matter who we played)
Doesn't matter what they have been doing (doesn't matter who they have played)
This is The Derby and it is about time we won
So looking with my very very blue glasses on : 0-0 at halftime - Lookman to come on in 70th minute and bag two
0-2 Everton
COME ON YOU BLUES

We are 11/1 for this one. If you are that confident, you might be tempted to put £10 on it!

Re: Liverpool vs Everton
They will be nervous, even more so than us, the mighty Kop will be whispering the chorus of Yule never wank alone (and mumbling through the other bits because they only know the chorus), we will keep it tight at the back, another clean sheet, then Rooney will drift onto the box and turn a gylfi cross into the back of their net!!!!
1-0 and as Rooney is standing in front of the kop cupping his jug like ears he gets hit on the head by several mobile phones, £26.43 in loose change, return flight tickets to Oslo, half a mars bar and a pair of granny knickers. Rooney is then stretchered off whilst leaning over to pick up the loose change and eating the mars bar and waving to a granny in the kop.
Liverpool get beat 1-0 by Everton and are docked eight points by the FA for the crowd throwing items at Rooney. After several appeals this is reduced to seven points and they end up a point below Everton.
Klopp resigns in protest and half the Liverpool squad put a transfer request in for the January window. Only Lovrens is refused!

ahemm .. it all sounded totally realistic, however your scenario puts them one point ahead of Everton (Shite on 22 - EFC on 21), not behind... so ...Sack the Juggler wrote:They will be nervous, even more so than us, the mighty Kop will be whispering the chorus of Yule never wank alone (and mumbling through the other bits because they only know the chorus), we will keep it tight at the back, another clean sheet, then Rooney will drift onto the box and turn a gylfi cross into the back of their net!!!!

boooooo
I blame you totally now for the impending 8-0 defeat .. 6 for Lawro, 1 for a goofy racist & 1 off Fat Sam's substantial gut from the technical box on the half way line.

bugger, I thought the Shute were a point below Arsenal for some reasonMade 4 Gwladys wrote:ahemm .. it all sounded totally realistic, however your scenario puts them one point ahead of Everton (Shite on 22 - EFC on 21), not behind... so ...Sack the Juggler wrote:They will be nervous, even more so than us, the mighty Kop will be whispering the chorus of Yule never wank alone (and mumbling through the other bits because they only know the chorus), we will keep it tight at the back, another clean sheet, then Rooney will drift onto the box and turn a gylfi cross into the back of their net!!!!

In that case the appeal panel will not reduce their points penalty, they will leave it as it was and dock them a further point for making a frivolous appeal
Re: Liverpool vs Everton
I have no faith going in to this game, I think we'll be destroyed 4-0 or 5-0.

Agreed, I'm afraid. They're going to batter us. It would be nice if we could get a couple, but they're going to score at will. Mimimum 3-0 at half time, 5-0 full time, if we're lucky.
I've written this one off completely. Just hope it doesn't totally destroy our confidence and lets the Big Sam Bashers start poisoning the atmosphere
