Everton v Southampton
And on to the final game of the festive period. Whilst watching the game against Hull, I didn't think that I would be starting this thread, but a lucky point continues the run.
Southampton are in town who will surely want to put one over RK again, but I reckon he will have given the players the hair dryer treatment after the game, and with a few changes to the starting 11 we will sneak a 2-1 win.

We are almost at the point where every game is a must win after some of the rubbish we have had to put up with
Come On Everton - Gives us a easy day for a change - 3-0

Lawro's Thoughts !!
Everton will definitely be a club doing business in January. They have not been bad in the past three or four games but I think where they are now - seventh - is where they should be. In golfing parlance, they are par. And let's be honest, Ronald Koeman knows they are short of quality in a few areas and will act.
Every time I see Southampton play they seem to be getting a player sent off. Perhaps they need more cutting edge because as much as I like Shane Long, he does tend to need a few chances to score.
Lawro's prediction: 2-0

Re: Everton v Southampton
Two comments on the line-up: I am glad that Davies gets a chance. Not sure what Calvert-Lewin has to offer, at least I have not been impressed as of yet with him.

Re: Everton v Southampton
Davies with a hard tackle and Southampton are awarded a freekick. My guess is that Davies will be booked today.
Re: Everton v Southampton
A Southampton player is down just outside the pitch. Possibly took a knock to the head.
Re: Everton v Southampton
Davies with a good run but he's forced wide and loses the ball. Probably should have taken the shot from the edge of the box.
Re: Everton v Southampton
Southampton make a change, the player who was receiving treatment has been subbed.
Re: Everton v Southampton
Good counter attack, Barkley with a good through ball to Lukaku, saved for a throw in.
Re: Everton v Southampton
Southampton score but he's offside. And he used his hand to push the ball over the line. Not booked though.

Barkley better today

RED CARD - Fernandinho (Man City)

Re: Everton v Southampton
Baines' pass up the pitch is blocked again. He really has struggled to get the ball up the pitch before being closed down, and it's not just today.
