This is just nuts. One more time - we need a creative midfielder! Please make this the highest priority in the January transfer window.

Defence letting us down. No point getting a point at City if we can't beat Championship teams like Burnley.

Re: Burnley vs Everton
FT, 2-1.
If we had better quality in the middle of the park we would have won this game. Not much for Lukaku to work with, not enough drive from Barkley/Barry/Gana in the middle of the park.
Having said that, I do feel sorry for the team. They did not deserve to lose this game.

Agreed, but we're still making the sloppy mistakes that let us down so much for the last two seasons. If we cut those out, we'd have been out of sight today.

'Football can be so unfair'
Burnley 2-1 Everton
Everton manager Ronald Koeman, speaking to BBC Sport: "It is hard to take because sometimes football can be so unfair. We did not deserve to lose. We did so many good things but finally the result is not what we want.
"We started well, maybe we dropped a bit for the last 20 minutes of the first half. We played well in the second half, we had a good reaction and had enough chances to score.
"Burnley were very well organised and dropped back, it was difficult but I thought we played well in that time. To travel back without any points is really very disappointing. It's one of those days when you cannot believe you lost the game."

Two up, top of the league.
Heartiest commiserations to anyone who lives in Liverpool. Gonna be a miserable night tonight.

ha ha fucking great, Baggies pull one back and the Shite slip to second.
Could have been worse!
Re: Burnley vs Everton
We should never have lost this.
We are still only 4 pts from top, so not a completely disastrous weekend. We just need to give Koemen more time to get the team playing how he wants.

I don't think he'll ever get Lukaku playing how he wants. The fella just wanders around the pitch like one of those useless fat lads who always got picked last at school and never made any effort to do anything unless the ball came right at them. Apologies to anyone on here who was that useless fat lad.
There were a number of occasions when the ball was about ten yards from him and he was just looking at it, clearly thinking "I could run for that, or I could let that old bloke Barry run for it. Ah, fuck it, off you go Gareth".
Now the worrying thing is that Luka is our best player. So Koeman is going to have to let him carry on being the fat lad because he's also a monster goal scoring machine.
