Everton vs Burnley
It almost feels wrong continuing the match threads after last night, but rules is rules.
Given we're pretty much out of the Europa already, we desperately need to be beating teams like Burnley and concentrating on the league.
Scrappy horrible game ending 2-1 - DCL and Rooney.

Re: Everton vs Burnley
Think I speak for everyone with Koemans persistance to play far to many defensive players and to many number 10's,
surely he can see we are poor at the back and slow all over the park.
Aaron Lennon has pace-Mirallas has pace, yet Koeman can't see Wayne Rooney is holding the team back,we are not afraid to go forward, we just don't have a recognised striker or attacker to pass it too.
Biggest problem Koeman got? he doesn't know his best eleven players.
1-1 against Burnley.

Drop Rooney, just play Sigurdsson- two wingers and two Strikers, don't need two defensive midfielders either, one from Schniderlin or Guye.
Re: Everton vs Burnley
Incredible that we pay £45m for Sigu and then play him out of position.

Re: Everton vs Burnley
Drop Rooney, play Siggi in the middle, play Vlasic to the left of him and Lookman to the right of him with DCL or Niasse up front. Drop either Gueye or Schneids, play Davies alongside whichever one he keeps. Four at the back, Kenny-Holgate-Jags-Baines. Pickford in goal.
The side picks itself really.

Re: Everton vs Burnley
Drop Rooney, pick him up again, put him up on the mantel piece and throw ollies at him to see if you can knock him off, spin round three times, click your ruby blue slippers together and shout "I wish I was in the Winslow", then a fat bloke called Usmanov will steal brain, your courage and your heart and turn Everton into an amusement park for the Russian gentry.
Re: Everton vs Burnley
I would stick with the recent line ups we've had. I get dizzy if our players start running around too quickly.

All being well, we could go to 8th with a win

Or 7th if we win 9-0
(or 16th if we lose)

Re: Everton vs Burnley
Wow, Koeman must have been reading some online fansites - Rooney is dropped to the bench and we have a rather attacking line-up. Intriguing!
Re: Everton vs Burnley
looks pretty good on paper, some good attacking players there

In fact only one defender on the bench, Holgate.
I guess if we lose Koeman will be able to say: "See? I played the way the fans wanted and what happens?" and he'll go back to shoe-horning Rooney and Siggi and Klaassen into the same team.

Re: Everton vs Burnley
Actually just occured to me that the graphic is assuming DCL and Niasse will both be playing up front. Chances are it'll be Niasse up top, Siggi in the no 10, Vlasic and DCL both out wide....
Re: Everton vs Burnley
Was thinking the same thing, primarily because Siggy is not a winger, DCL as well as Vlasic can play both up front and on the wing.hairy cataract wrote:Actually just occured to me that the graphic is assuming DCL and Niasse will both be playing up front.
