Everton are fighting for that last Europa League place and have a great record this season, winning all home games regardless of opposition... just kidding, well about the winning bit anyway, although to be fair, since that 0-0 draw with Liverpool at the beginning of March our home form has been solid.

Burnley on the other hand have mostly been poor at home over the same period but have been better on the road.

I'm going to stick my neck our and say that it will be a 1-1 draw! Martin Dobson to score for Burnley in the first half, Everton to buy him for £300k at the break, and he'll go on to score for us in the second half. cheers

Just watched the highlights. I like DCL - his hold up play and involvement in build ups is good - but he's never going to get into double figures, let alone the 20+ goals/season that we need to challenge the top 6.

I followed the game on the BBC text page and I read that we started extremely well, and the first half as a whole was very good. The second half wasn't nearly as good, but we managed another clean sheet.

Sounds like Bernard has really started to adapt to the EPL which is promising with the next season in mind.

Not sure about Lookman and what he wants to do over the summer. The limited playing time he received (again) and the facial expressions I saw during the highlights, albeit very short highlights, he didn't ooze of excitement while on the pitch. I am guessing he'll push for a move away this summer.

I would much rather see Walcott leave and that the club pushes hard to keep Lookman.

Oh, and let's get a quality striker in over the summer.

you know what Thor... I thought this was one of our best outings this season... we totally controlled the game & could / should have been 5 or 6 up in 30 minutes.

DCL is a dilemma... his play was superb yesterday IMO.. I'm not sure we are able to get anyone better in than him ... and he's going to get better & better .. he's only a kid... unless we somehow get lucky & get another Lukaku which is massively unlikely.

This team is looking damn good if you ask me & Silva seems to have starting getting things the way he wants... we knew it would take time & tbh I think he pressed our patience (mine included) .. but I'm glad now that we stuck by him

The big IF for me... is keeping the squad we have together & not losing a Siggy, Richie, Zouma, Digne, Bernard, Pickford, Kene, Gomes.... and actually yes I'll say ... it DCL !!

I fear missing out on Europe will make it hard to keep all of the above... and actually attract quality additions

If we can keep all the above... and add a couple of quality signings I really think we can be very very good next season

COYB cheers

TBH, I can't see bigger clubs queuing up to sign our players. There is a reason they play for us and not the Big 6 and that's because they're not good enough for a bigger club. Richie - we paid £35m for him. Is anyone really going to offer us more than that? Digne - he's had a great season but in an under-the-radar sort of way. I suspect there will be teams watching and waiting but won't pull the trigger this summer. PSG might come back for Gueye but I think they signed someone else in his position in January. Bernie - looks good but one goal and a couple of assists all season isn't great. Siggy - solid season but 29 now, I think he's found his level with us.

If we can get Gomes and Zouma signed permanently (or even on another loan), I'd be happy.
