why did Nev knock that back in the first place?

Jelavic heads a cross and it's going wide, but a Sunderland defender heads it out rather unnessesarily, but th ecorner is wasted.

Howard then misshits a backpass and it ends up with Sunderland getting a corner out of it.....

Larsson takes the corner and it's headed away, and then the ref blows for HT.

I wish they'd make Drenthe wear footie boots with studs. He falls over even when there's no one ear him. Eg: for poo's last goal

Pretty promising from us in the latter stages of the half where we moved the ball around in the midfield well, we need to have more of that in the second half. Sunderland are definately up for it and this will be a tough game to win.

Sunderland started better and got the goal. Our goal almost came out of nothing but we have looked better since the goal.

If I were Moyes I'd have a hard look at Drenthe and considering taking him off. He hasn't really been too effective and is a liability where he loses the ball too frequently. But then again, what options does he have? I haven't seen the bench - so Gueye maybe?

Cahill is playing better today but I think our game plan is for Drenthe to get knocked over without getting a foul so often that eventually the ref takes pity on him.

On the other end, Distin does well defending.
