Re: Man City 1 Everton 2 (Cahill, Baines)
Fucking hell, I cant imagine what this lot are going to be like when they actually start winning stuff!! They are well on their way to becoming the New Shite. When we lose, we usually start with the short comings of our own players and tactics before bemoaning the 'luck' of the other team. If was our fault we drew with Wigan. Yes, they parked the bus but we couldnt open them up and when we did they was a lack of composure. But this fucking blame everyone else nonsense we get from City fans everytime we beat them is getting tiresome. Even Sky are been selective in their reporting showing Fellaini two 'clean' tackles (one which was yellow carded), and the other they have now decided should have been another yellow.
We have beaten Citeh over the last few seasons with a varied degree of tactics, depending on form, fitness and confidence of the players at the time. We played them off the park at GP last year and also played some good stuff at their place. Last night was all about digging deep, and battling for the win. The players are low on confidence, badly in need of a positive result, so we were hardly going to start attack like gungho Blackpool or Spurs. We played to our current strengths. Strong at the back, Fellaini and Rodwell sweeping up like demons and getting the ball to Cahill and Baines in advanced positions as much as possible. When we get Pienaar back, Arteta finds an ounce of form, Donovan returns on loan and we start being more productive infront of goal, yes we might see some good attacking football (something we have being doing but with little reward for alot of the season) but to expect anything different then what we served up last night is mystifying.
