Re: Everton v Sporting - friendly
We're almost certainly going to win the league at this rate. Play utter shit, give the opposition loads of chances, then break their hearts with a lucky pen. It's the perfect recipe for success.
Re: Everton v Sporting - friendly

Maupey misses from inside the box... never mind eh, it would only have been a tap in for Garner behind him if he left it

So this is basically the side that finished last season, only without Mina and Gray? To be fair, we've added a 38 year old left back.
What could possibly go wrong?

you just got me wondering if DCL pulled a fetlock during half time... seems odd that a bloke that hasn't kicked a ball all pre-season only gets 45 mins !hairy cataract wrote:So this is basically the side that finished last season, only without Mina and Gray? Re: Everton v Sporting - friendly
Well I suppose on results we've looked good in the pre-season.
Can't say I'm particularly confident about our prospects for the real thing though. We look somewhere between shite and ordinary. Maybe finish 13th -17th, depending on who we can sign and who can stay fit. Could definitely be another relegation battle though - I mean, why wouldn't there be, we definitely haven't improved the squad so far. If anything the squad is substantially weaker, especially when we ship out Gray, unless we sign three or four players before the close of the window.
