Good thing I'm at work and about to get in to a (virtual) meeting which allows me to keep an eye on the score.
I'm really nervous.

Re: Everton V Newcastle United
After our initial “tails-up” start it seems Newcastle are getting the measure of us.

Plenty of effort, little quality. Newcastle look a different class from us, which is grim.

Re: Everton V Newcastle United
It's only just occurred to me that we didn't score a goal in our current 4 match losing run.
Including tonight (so four and a half games) we've had a total of 5 shots on target since the Leeds game.
That's fucking scary, given how bad our defence is.

Re: Everton V Newcastle United
As per the BBC.
Play comes to a halt as someone gets onto the pitch and hooks themselves to the frame of Asmir Begovic's goal.
Where are the Fire Brigade?
We are now nearing getting back to the action. A crowd of stewards and someone with a bolt cutter is now having a go at trying to release the person hooked onto the left post.
Finally they manage to get this delay over albeit the person protesting is not being removed easily and is having to be carried from the Goodison Park pitch.
We are back under way. By my reckoning that'll mean we should see at least 10 minutes added on at the end of this match (taking into account other stoppages).

More from the BBC.

Well, I have never seen anything like that at a match before. I have no idea how the person managed to tie themselves to a goalpost so quickly. The over-sized pliers being brought on added to the bizarreness of the situation.
Fair to say the person involved didn't get much sympathy from the crowd. Extraordinary.
