Everton vs Man City
Seems like no one can be arsed to start a thread, so here it is.
10-0 to Everton (DCL with 8, Pickford with 2)

DCL to continue his goal-scoring streak and nick a goal early on, before we concede 17 goals from set pieces.

Re: Everton vs Man City
The game is on the TV here in the States so will we show up as a team?
The other burning question is: Man City is likely the only team that will have ANY chance of preventing the Shite from winning the league, so what kind of result do we want here????
Needless to say, I want Everton to do great and win all games they play, but it's still worth asking in this case.

Re: Everton vs Man City
it really could be that man city would be up 2-0 after 14 minutes while six of those minutes were attending to wolcott's injury.

Or maybe not...
1-1
Re: Everton vs Man City
Sounds like a much better performance. We need to keep it up against the 'lesser' teams - Burnley away next.

Re: Everton vs Man City
I think we played rather well, it's not easy to play Man City, not even at home. There was a moment in the second half for about 10 minutes when the game was balancing but when Mahrez scored, that sealed the deal.
I am encouraged by the performance though.

At the game, the foul that lead to the Mahrez goal, looked harsh.Knight of Thorgothshire wrote:I think we played rather well, it's not easy to play Man City, not even at home. The enigma that is DCL.
Iwobe - Iwoeful.
Kean out wide, looked as good as we've seen him.
Enough to feel a bit more positive.

I thought City were wonderful to watch at times - but I can't see them catching the Shite, defending like they did against us. We put up a decent showing but massive gulf in class really.
Totally agree about Kean - I've been calling for a front three of Kean floating in from the right, DCL in the middle, and Richarlison floating in from the left and that was the first time we've seen it. I thought it had real potential. I kind of think we should have started with that, dropped Siggi, and had a midfield three of Delph, Davies and Schneids. But what do I know? Good atmosphere at the game I thought.

We're sort of Martinez revisited, at the moment.hairy cataract wrote:Yankthattoffee wrote:At the game, the foul that lead to the Mahrez goal, looked harsh.Knight of Thorgothshire wrote:I think we played rather well, it's not easy to play Man City, not even at home. Expansive but fragile.
Some slick some slush.
Not a cohesive collection.
We sort of need a replacement for Gana Gueye now, as well as Big Luke.
Having said that, cup games could be our forte this year (like other years)
