Re: Wolves
2-2 I'll take that. I'd hae taken it at kick off and definitely after the sending off. Keane immense, Holgate great when he came, Schnieds good, Baines is still qaulity. Richarlison...all arms and legs, poor control at times, but he makes things happen.

Re: Wolves
I’ll take that. We were good for the most part. Competition at CB can’t come soon enough though

Re: Wolves
Everton’s red card was their 90th in the Premier League – more than any other side.

Re: Wolves
A good start IMO. we looked like a promising team & that was with only one of the new additions playing.
Jags tackle was good as far as I'm concerned. I can see why the red was shown as the follow through looked horrible, but Jags did win the ball clearly beforehand & his foot was not high.
The referee will get away with it, but Shearers interpretation of too much aggression in the tackle is an absolute crock. The day tackles are made without commitment we will see lots of injuries to the tackler.
We were good enough to win & I think we would have won very comfortably if that red wasn't shown.

Agreed. Jags was never "out of control." One footed tackle, did not "leave the ground", full contact with ball.Made 4 Gwladys wrote:A good start IMO. we looked like a promising team & that was with only one of the new additions playing.

Re: Wolves
Should appeal it.
We've got nothing to lose if one of the new players are to take his place anyway.

Re: Wolves
Having seen it a few times after the game (and taken my blue-tinted specs off), I can see why the ref gave it. Jags was stretching, foot was off the ground and made contact with the other player's ankle. But...I still don't think it was worthy of a red. Jags had the right to go for the ball, stretching to win it isn't an offence, and the foot was barely up - the studs were facing the ball (which he won). It's unfortunate that the Wolves player was in the position he was but that isn't Jags' fault.
Anyway, good point. Wolves will do well this season - possibly aroud 7th if they can get their new players to gel. Despite conceding twice (Fk 5 yards too far forward and a great cross for the second) I thought we looked solid at the back. Didn't create much going forward even before the sending off but looked comfortable enough defensively to play a counter-attacking game.
