Is it my imagination.... Mirallas got an earful from Coleman for not leaving it when he was clearly going to be offside, then Mirallas gives Coleman a really shit pass, behind him, to make him look crap. I hope there's no issues there.

Phil Shuttleworth: Once again Roberto Martinez shows what he has over David Moyes - positive, game-changing substitutions. Fourth place is on.

So... four points clear of Spurs, and, after the Shite murder them later, a game in hand. I know we've got Arse, Citteh and ManUre to play at home, but 5th really is ours for the taking.

And, by beating Citteh and Arse, we could hand the title to the Shite, in exchange for CL footie for us. Swings and roundabouts....

Like I said earlier, if the Shite win the league, us taking 4th would soften the blow and probably stop them lording it over us too much - might be some mutual back-slapping?

We're gonna win the league  Very Happy

No! Just EV-ER-TON!!!

(BTW, if any younger readers never had a chance to see Alex Young, there were glimpses in McGeady over the last 2 games.)

Just back home. First half best forgotten, very tense amongst our fans and not a lot of singing. First half Distin and Tim were our best players. Second half what a change! Bobby's substitution genius did the trick yet again. Mirallas was great, back to how we know he can play, Lukaku decided to move around a bit after his statue impersonations in the first half and Nais and McGeady were excellent.
Was lovely to see Heitinger clapping the fans at the end and getting a chant in return.
All in all job done. Will be very sorry to see Fulham go down as it's such a lovely ground to visit.

Now to read the thread and see what you were all saying Smile

I'm just back in from the game. We still look shaky defensively and the pointless tiki-taka along the back line in the first half created problems for ourselves. Good second half though. I take back everything negative I've ever said about Nais!

Yes, agree it is a lovely ground, and they will be missed. Didn't go this year but, hearing how loud our fans sounded, I really regret it.

Spent far too long getting from central Dallas to DFW airport so just saw the last 20 minutes in the bar nearest our gate. On the upside the bartender did a little cheer when Nais scored the 3rd and admitted to hailing from Maghull 20+ years ago.

The same was said of Naismith and Stones, Give them time, Its coming together.
If Martinez can get Barry & Lukaku on permanent deals confidence will grow, A few tweaks up front and midfield are squad strengthened, we will be ready for Europe and a new season. IMWT.
