Billy Butler was the announcer in those days, and he announced the travel plans at half time. Something like "Jimmy, Bill, Wally and Dave - your taxi will be outside to the left and Joe, Ken, John and Phil's taxi will be to the right."   or something like that.  Made me laugh, and obviously stuck in my memory banks for some reason.

Remembering watching us on Sky in the early days of the second coming of football. Just checked; it was 1993 and we lost 0-2 at home to Sheff Wed. Carlton Palmer,the Yaya Toure of the day. It was a Monday night game. We were awful, had Jimmy Gabriel as caretaker manager. As you say Yank, the Park End lower section for away fans was sorry sight, handful of Wednesday fans. Actual attendance for whole ground was only 16,471. Bar a 5-2 win in 1996, our record against Wednesday is pretty shocking in last 30 years. Dark Days
