Post  Barry Horne's Equaliser Sun 29 Dec 2013, 6:25 pm

Everton travel to the Brittania stadium on New Years Day, finishing 2013 in the top four of the table. Jags is out, but Alcotrash made for a decent replacement on Saturday gone. Leighton is back, Gareth Barry is back, Tim Howard is back. With any luck, Steven Naismith will be anonymous on the team bus and one of Pienaar or Mirallas will be recalled too.

In Stoke City team news, Stanley Matthews faces a late fitness test, and Gordon Banks may get the nod ahead of Thomas Sorenson in the absense of Asmir Begovic.

0-2, Naismith x2

I think we will take the cloggers apart with our ticky tacky touchpassball & win a very comfortable 0-1 with a late late 97th minute Naismith goal.

Dixie (who ruined Christmas) will inwardly cry as his belov-ed Stoke take a caning

Never stepped foot in the shithole. I think you have to have a misspelled, racist tattoo to get in the home end.

Shit nearly missed this!

Stoke are playing really well now under Hughes, kind of a Tilka Klogga style, Charlie Adam is a twat and his job will be to try to cripple Barkley or Osman or just anyone he can get away with.

We've got our key defensive players out so really we stand no chance against Abay Clancy and the tall fella.

1-0 to Stoke, kone to get a hattrick

hard to call. tight game. not one for the purists.

Stoke to make around 250 all out.

Everton to win with a couple of overs to spare. Quick fire 60 from barkley with some good backing up from mirallas and coleman.

We will bang another 4 past this bunch of shit. Barkey, Mirallas and Pienaar will dance their way around the cloggers defense and Lukaku will have a field day against old man Sorensen. 4-0 to the Mighty Blues and Mark Hughes sacked after the game.  cheers

TEAM NEWS

Stoke welcome back Glenn Whelan and Marc Wilson after suspension, and Marko Arnautovic following illness.
However Andy Wilkinson faces a spell on the sidelines after injuring his heel in the defeat at Tottenham.
Everton have Tim Howard and Gareth Barry available after both served one-match bans against Southampton.
Sylvain Distin is expected to shake off a minor hamstring problem, although fellow centre-back Phil Jagielka is out with a similar injury.

Meanwhile, got my parents round for New Year's Day Lunch. Would it be very wrong if I handed them their coats at five to three?

Not much height at the back then. Stones and Alcaraz barely over 6 ft. Corners and free kicks will be like penalties to Stoke. Big games needed from Barry & McCarthy today to help out at the back. Hopefully we can hurt Stoke early and play on the counter.

It'll be interesting to see how the backline will do with Stones and Alcaraz the center pairing. Cue loads of long balls towards Crouch. Oh wait, that's normal for Stoke....
