Re: 11. Kevin Mira11as - now "trying" his luck in Italy
Everton have rejected a loan inquiry from West Ham United for Kevin Mirallas - but will listen to offers for a permanent deal.
Mirallas was also wanted on loan by former club Olympiakos but Everton are only interested in selling the 29-year-old Belgian forward.
He has had limited opportunities under manager Ronald Koeman, who dropped him from the squad to face Chelsea last weekend and questioned Mirallas' attitude.
Everton may also want to secure a replacement before sanctioning any move for Mirallas.

I think that sums it up well - we rather see him go.Super wrote:Sky Sports wrote:MIRALLAS LATEST
It's our understanding that Everton have received a number of offers to take Kevin Mirallas on loan, from teams including West Ham and Olympiakos.
All loan offers have been rejected. However, we understand Everton would consider offers for a permanent deal.

Kevin Mirallas: Everton winger apologises for 'frustration'
Everton winger Kevin Mirallas has apologised for "not being able to cope" with his "frustration" - but denied he was dropped for showing a "lack of commitment" in training.
Reports have suggested Mirallas and team-mate Morgan Schneiderlin were sent home from training after their attitude was questioned by coaching staff.
However, both players have said that is not why they were left out of the squad who beat Watford 3-2 on Sunday - with Mirallas calling it a "manager decision".
Everton have not appointed a permanent manager after sacking Ronald Koeman last month.
David Unsworth is in temporary charge of a side who have won only three Premier League games this season but who are up to 15th after Sunday's win.
"I was not excluded from the squad due to a lack of commitment during training," Belgium international Mirallas wrote on social media on Tuesday.
"This was a manager decision and I was frustrated as I am fully committed to Everton since arriving in 2012 and I can't accept our actual ranking."
"I apologise to my team-mates and the manager for not being able to cope at that moment with my frustration."
On Monday, France midfielder Schneiderlin, 27, said: "The stories are not true.
"I am fully committed to Everton and will continue to work hard for the club and the fans in training and on the pitch."

I've always liked Kev. He could be unplayable at times (e.g. against the Shite a few seasons ago before Suarez trod in his ankle). But those games were few and far between and most of the time he is just decent. With Bolasie back and lookman coming through, I don't think he'll be missed. Plus no doubt he wants regular football before the WC.

And as mentioned above, he would not feature much anyway so might just as well get him off the books.

He's probably only worth £5-10m on the transfer market so that's very good business.

The last days it was pretty quiet around Mirallas, but now the 31-year-old attacker is suddenly on his way to ... Standard . Mirallas is a person from Liège and received his training at De Rouches . For him, the circle would be complete if he could start working at Standard .
Standard also sees reunification with his former player. Coach Michel Preud'homme would even know exactly how he wants to play Mirallas. If everything goes according to plan, there could be white smoke very soon.
Earlier, the name of Mirallas also fell with Antwerp , Anderlecht and Club Brugge . However, those clubs will fish behind the net in this file.

Is that a well-known Belgian saying? I often feel like I'm fishing behind the net these days, thought it was just my age.

Gone. I always liked him. Hot-headed but had some genuine quality and always a decent performer in terms of goals and assists per season when he played regularly.

I agree to a certain extent in that he was talented, but I also felt that far too often he didn't show it on the pitch. A bit of a waste in the end.Armchair wrote:https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49529590

I thought he was great for us. It went a bit sour, and sounds like it was his own fault. He was probably a bit of a prick, but definitely left some great memories.

That penalty miss when he took the ball off Baines was the nail in the coffin for him, arrogant fuckerGoodison_Gringo wrote:I thought he was great for us. It went a bit sour, and sounds like it was his own fault. He was probably a bit of a prick, but definitely left some great memories.
