Yep, gutted about this.

No one to blame but us. We had the easiest run in in if we had collected those 6 points that we should have we would of been laughing.

A joke this season why we couldent beat this lot is a joke.

Hate to say, but I think the players thought this was going to be a walk in the park. The attitude just wasn't right, we never got going.

I think when we went 1 up the players thought this it, easy 3 points.

With Arteta playing we average 2.33 points, without him 1.33

I think if Donavan was still here though we also would of won our last two games, he also gives the team a bit of drive, some of the players are not up to the fight and have accepted an 8th place finish on this evidence

We should have won that game today but I think that we backed off too much after the first goal which gave West Ham alot of possession and their confidence grew. When we went 2-1 up we really should have been able to hold onto the ball and make West Ham chase but we didnt. Again we took our foot off the gas and let West Ham back in. The 2nd West Ham goal was criminal. Far too easy to get a cross into our box and far too easy for the striker to get his head on the ball.

Still in with a chance of 7th but that is about it IMO and even that is going to be a big ask.

p.s. Phil Neville was fucking awful today. Dont think I saw him complete one pass.

Just got back from the game. Thought we looked tired in the first half and we never really got going.

Pienaar was trying hard but never had an outlet to give the ball too, the Baines - Pienaar threat never really happened.

And yes, neville was a pile of dog turd today.

Bily was not very good either, and to be fair, Jags didn't have one of his better games either. We just never got going. I wonder if the players thought it was going to be an easy three points - "just put the boots out there and we'll get the points".

The worst participant was Webb. very poor by any standard yesterday. Their peno was soft, Cole clearly leans into Distin then bounces off Stevie-Me-like. And Why Saha's wasn't a penalty? it was an absolute mugging.

Was hoping match would revitalise my mind for second day of the stag but had opposite effect. We were snoozing through it in first half, but failed to take advantage of their lack of confidence. Saha never seemed to work a position to get a chance. Second half, once they equalised they began to grow from it a threw themselves into every challenge. Parker was excellent in that respect. Didnt think we did enough to win. Alot of pretty passing but nothing effective in final third. Neville is really becoming a painful liability out right going forward. We waste so much posession because of his poor touch and crossing.

I feared we might not has the necessary desire in run in now and that seems to be happening now although we probably would have won the last two games with Arteta in there.

Just realised that you must have the 'two' and 'four' the wrong way round.

A bonus point was introduced as Paul predicted a couple of correct scores in the intial match thread. So when you start a match thread need to include a prediction. Get one bonus point for correct result and 2 bonus points for exact score. Something that I just started to include as no real rules set up at the beginning of the season, plus didn't start the league for ages, and the only real rule got blown out the window on a number of occasions (Everton lose, new match thread starter).
